this is the rant and you know once you're a fan of the team you'll be grouped with them for the good and bad. I just killed 2 trees while typing this....you see how it works? Let me know if you have questions as I have answers.

except Im not grouping the actions of one and placing them on others here. Do you see the difference?

I absolutely despise the University of Aubren!!!! With that said, Gus has done a magnificent job and I have the utmost respect for their program. That game was a battle of titans and one of the greatest endings I've ever witnessed. So to my Aubren brothren I offer my congratulations and a big !!!

At the time, I was thinking the opposite. I thought Bama would win in the first overtime (AU gets a FG first and then Bama wins with a TD)

You do realize that Bama only scored 1 TD in the second half? And that TD was a 99 yd pass helped by the fact that the 2 defenders on the play took each other out?

How in the world can you think that Bama had ANY sort of momentum in that game to win it in overtime?

No one talks about that. What if that kick had been good?

Then the agonizing memory of Van Tiffin would have finally been replaced in my mind.

Hilarious that you get so worked up over a hypothetical OT.

I really don't blame McCarron at all for getting the hell off that field with the way security was breaking down.

Now nothing bad ended up happening, but you never know considering the number of drunken students piling on that field. McCarron just removed the temptation from them.

Responding to a post with a realistic reply is getting worked up?

It really was a great ending. I'll never be able to enjoy it, but there is no denying the drama.
