Gillispie fired. 6 million buyout and Kentucky asked to talk to Donovan. Donovan interested but wants the largest college sports contract ever.

Will try to find link.

Heck, "email from a friend" will work fine.

Domino effect ? UK cans Gillespie, Donovan leaves Florida for Kentucky, Grant goes to Florida ? He was going to Gainesville two years ago when Donovan went to Orlando for an hour or so.

I think you hit the nail on the head I 59.

Gillispie will not get the 6 Million total in his buyout. There were provisions that will likely be enacted to drive the buyout down.

It will be real interesting the next few days and weeks to come depending on who is still playing in Tournaments etc.

The three dominant names are Donovan, Capliperi, and Travis Ford.

I'm not so sure about this. After further thought, I'm not so sure he'll leave Florida. First, he owes them after the Miami fiasco. Second, he's got a really nice recruiting class coming in. Third, he's already turned them down once. From what I hear his family is really happy there. I will admit I have a vested interest in him not going to KY because if he does, it's not good news for us.

Lexington Herald said no announcement before Friday, buy some inside sources say its a done deal. As for the buy out, they will likely negotiate that down.

This also is bad for the Bammers. Since Grant did not take the job while on campus, I think he knows the scoop as well and is holding out until Florida is either open or closed for sure.

So if Donovan bites and takes the UK job, does Grant go to Florida instead of Bama?

And Gillespie to Alabama.

If that gal who met Saban at the airport comes to greet Gillespie, that might get R rated.

For the largest college sports contract in history, i think he leaves from any situation.

Yes Sir. Not a real bad game, the score was not completely indicative of the game itself. We played from 17 daown as usual and made it a game til the end. Meeks and Patterson were phenominal.

Well,I figured you did. What did you think when Dykes lamented that Bill Keightly's passing hurt Gillespie ? I know "Mr Wildcat" was an institution, but come on ! How on Earth would that guy have 'smoothed things over' ?

Travis Ford would have to be a letdown from that group. No way Kentucky fires Gillepsie to hire Travis Ford.

Agreed. Kentucky needs a big-name coach with a proven track record.

As far as the Keightly thing mentioned I think it's horse shite. He didn't even get to know him like Pitino or Tubby personally and build a real relationship. it was a blow to UK to lose him, but I don't buy that it impacted Billy. Billy was a dick to the media, fans, and made his own bed.

There is a minority outcry to get one of the beloved players that "get it" into the coaches seat. Travis is a dick and he was a dick when he played at UK.

Really? I've never heard that he was a dick. What makes you say that?
