He's gotta take basket weaving graduate program. If he is as good as advertised he is one and done.

It may be a done deal. It was not in September. Very mature kid and I am sure Satan would love to have him. Jimbo would love to keep him too but really no way he can. At least he got a NC ring out of it.

Very smart kid, from affluent well educated family. Step-Father is one of top ENT's in Alabama his Mom may have played pro tennis or something.

Doesn't need to play ball or go pro to be successful.

I suspect he will have a real graduate degree.

The whole "it was a tight race" talk from the Florida State coaching staff, regarding the quarterback competition between Jameis Winston and Jacob Coker, is complete garbage...

The same was said regarding the quarterback competition between Cam Newton and Barrett Trotter.

Sounds a lot like Greg McElroy. Big difference is that he's always been a big Alabama fan and dreamed of QBing there.

And? It happened once at auburn so every "tight race" was really never much of a competition to begin with? frick dude, you've turned into ultimate little brother

Common sense.

LOL, is this a joke? I've turned into the ultimate little brother for talking about a back-up quarterback, who was a 3rd string quarterback until Clint Tricket transferred, at Florida State?

Give me a fricking break.

He couldn't beat out what I considered to be the 5th best QB on AUs schedule this year, so I am not too worried about him.

U should be. Don't believe me (Though if you put 2 and 2 together you should) Lol. Ask Coach Craig about him. Or your new recruit from St Paul's Tre Williams. (BTW you got a good him there too)

Never attempt to use "common sense". It doesn't work for you. The FSU coaching staff has known almost the entire season of his transfer plan (I was told by a big FSU insider in mid-Sept.), and quite naturally weren't going to count on him for the future....and, yes, word from the FSU practice field was that Coker would probably start the year at QB.

JW played 1 SEC team and looked average.

Correction 2. I'm assuming you think the average one was against the SEC champion, a game he won. Something not just any Marroon could do.

dominated in the ACC but you saw as well as I did against AU's D (not stellar by any stretch)

In garbage time this year, Coker was 50% on 36 attempts 0 tds 1 int and 5 sacks. Please tell me more about how he should have been the starter, but for team unity.

If he is so shitty, then why all the long faces by AU and FSU fans?

In fairness to coke, 90% of those snaps were with the second team versus a first team. Although, I agree he didn't play very well.

Usually during "garbage time" you're playing with 3rd and 4th string OLinemen and WRs, too, so....

We really need to have a decent 2nd QB next year. If Winston goes down and Mcguire goes in, we fricked.

If the Winston issues go to Civil Court, there will be a lot of mud brought out in the open. He and FSU will want him to go Pro ASAP to keep the spotlight off that program. If Coker is so good, I think FSU would be doing everything to keep him. Why change to another system with no assurance of being the starter, when you can stay in a program that you developed in ? Sound like another internet Phenom.
