I don't understand that part either. Maybe they mean when he graduates Jimbo will grant him his transfer. I thought if you graduate, you didn't need to be granted a transfer by the coach.

He's been released from his athletic scholly, so Jimbo has no say over him now.

Good for Bama if it happens, just don't expect another Cam Newton. Thats just unrealistic.

I don' think we want a Cam Newton, we just want someone who can best utilize talents like Cooper and Howard.

So did he enroll?
Per BOL this morning:
"Just spoke to a couple sources close to Jacob Coker who said Nick Saban and Lance Thompson met with Coker today and per one of the sources the visit went "outstanding." The second source said a decision should come sooner rather later with Alabama being the odds on favorite to land the FSU transfer who has been granted his release.

On a sidenote and as expected, Coker received a ton of attention from other schools who were interested in a QB transfer who has been described by a handful of people close to the FSU program as being as talented as Jameis Winston. But UA has been in the catbird seat since he decided to transfer. Barring an unforeseen circumstance he is expected to land in Tuscaloosa."

So....is TheOcean still holding onto hope that all these tweets are false and Coker is staying at FSU?

Not so fast my friend. LSU has proven to do well against highley touted QB's. It's the game managers that give us trouble.

Coker is a hulluva athlete. It will be real interesting to see what Kiffin does with this kid. He goes from having one of the most veteran QB coaches in the SEC to someone that's never coached the position.

From now on, if I tell you a possum dips snuff, just look inside her pouch and you'll find a little round tin.

kind of reminds me of jeff driskel. strong arm, good wheels, good size, not much touch, throws the football kind of odd but on a rope

Would have been a helluva QB had he had any semblance of an offensive line blocking for him.

Coker will not have that problem at Alabama.
