Which school do you think Beamer is referring to?

tl;dw:

Paraphrasing: "This past season I had a SEC coach call me before a game and said you might want to rent porta johns because there's one working toilet for players, coaches, staff"

Vandy wasn’t SEC level this past season & probably won’t be this year.

Not surprised Beamer would dramatize it thou.

I remember that game, when they were under renovation midseason, we had to bring our own tarps and portajons and AC units. Vanderbilt is a garbage program.

We played Vandy at home this past season, but go off

Don’t forget to bring your own A/C units when you visit Austin.

Some irony there. a former Kentucky QB who played for Kentucky in the early 90s was once asked on a podcast who had the worst visitors locker room and his vote was absolutely South Carolina, noting that not only did the visitors locker room have no air conditioning but the toilets were smack dab in the middle of the locker room with no walls.

Honestly I respect the grind but I hope it's improved since then

Doesn’t the State visitors locker room only have one toilet? And no door on the stall?

If that's true I may owe Carolina an apology. He might have said State.

Honestly I’m okay with bad away locker rooms. frick with the opponent as much as you can. And why would you want to spend a bunch of cash to make the away team more comfortable.

My memory is slipping. Two toilets, but no seats.

Just the thought that went into it. The malicious intent. The ‘hey, it’s tough to play on the road attitude.’ Yep, I counted them right, 37 nails in a concrete block, two toilets with no seats and no lids in the middle. One roll of toilet paper in the middle.

Mike Leach on Worst Visitors Locker Room

But in State’s defense, it might not have been malicious. The home locker room may have been the exact same.

Not the Swamp. We played @ SCar last year.

These were SCar's SEC road games last year:

@ UGA
@ Vols
@ Mizzou
@ A&M

My guess is Neyland.

It ain't SC because I go by that lockeroom to take a leak at least twice a month .... and there's never less than two working stalls in there. When you walk in to the left ... the two stalls on the far right always work.

Pink stalls. Well, the entire locker room is pink .... well, dingy pink. Grayish pink.

Leach said something about the away locker rooms when his team was playing State. It may have been when he was an assistant with Hal Mumme.

Most of the stadium, including both locker rooms have been renovated since then.
