I've never understood how judging someone for anything they have no control of is any different than judging someone for being of another race, but that's just me. Good for him.

He can do what he wants with his hair. but seriously, hes going through what a shite load of men go through. People are acting like he is some hero because he is losing his hair.

Who is claiming he is a hero?

He's always reminded me of Tong Po from Kickboxer.

In this thread- SEC ranters show they know as much about medical conditions as they do about football.

Nothing.

The new eyebrow will look very natural. However, because the hair is taken from the back of your scalp, it will continue to grow long and periodic trimming is required.
Hmm, don't know about that. Would he really want a couple of mini fro's growing out of his forehead? I mean, if he doesn't trim it, it'll look like a couple of black Cheeto's, not eyebrows

Good point about him looking like Shazier. I haven't watched any UT games in a while. One day I'd like to see them beat Bama and UF. Please tell me that will happen in the next 3-5 years.

UF will happen in the next 3 weeks. Bama, probably 2016 or 2017.

I don't think I was saying he was a hero...basically all men go through hair loss at varying times in life so what difference does it make? He can't help it. Actually, better question is why are a whole bunch of men judging another man on his looks?

heard on the radio that UT is 2-29 in their last 31 games vs ranked teams

Read on the internet that Tennessee is the more all-time winning program than Georgia. When was your last championship again, underacheiver?

Even after this 10 year drought, Tennessee still has a 34 win lead on Georgia, with Georgia playing 10 more games.

The daughter of a friend of mine has the same condition.
It made her look like a cancer kid when she was young. The amazing thing is that she doesn't like to wear wigs, and doesn't care about it like Dobbs. And I know plenty of beautiful people who are self concious, and insecure.

In high school one my best friend's moms had the condition. I remember they prepared me for the first time I came over to the house to spend the night because they didn't want me to be freaked out if she wasn't wearing her wig. It was weird at first because I never knew she wore wigs but after seeing her (and she too looked like she'd just gone through chemo) it took me about five minutes to process it and get over it.

That said, we're a very shallow and vain society. It would really suck to have to go through the progression of his illness on national tv and put up with the comments he gets.

I'm actually starting to like Dobbs. He impressed me. My daughter has a friend with alopeci a in her third grade class. I think it would be more difficult for her her at her age because young kids can be very mean and they simply don't understand why someone else is so different. To make fun of someone with a condition like theirs as an adult is just ridiculous.

If he would shave his head he'd look pretty normal. I feel bad for the guy but he could still kick every person on this message boards arse and steal their girl.

I had been wondering if that was what he had.

If you could combine his and Anthony Davis brow game though... could make two normal people.

Dobbs: Yes, I have a medical disease called alopecia areata.

I never would have guessed this. The only person I know with this condition is a friend who lost ALL of his hair in a very short time, while Dobbs obviously has some left. I guess there are degrees of suck with that disease. It hit my friend roughly 30 years ago. He went to different specialists for many years before giving that up and just accepting it. The worst, according to him, is losing your eyelashes - a particularly bad deal for bike racers.
