Josh Dobbs apparently has been balling out this week at the Senior Bowl

He was just named starting QB for the South team and spectators have had this to say.

I’ve bumped him up a little this week for two reasons: One, he had a nice opening practice on Tuesday, and two, he’s just so darned tough-minded and intelligent, traits that indicate someone will give him a chance to play QB in the NFL. Dobbs has not progressed markedly as a passer over his four years in college, but he was in a system where everything was simplified and geared toward taking advantage of the run first. (Frankly, you can’t say that the Tennessee staff earned high marks for using its talent most effectively or for its player development in a lot of cases.)

Greg McElroy said Dobbs has improved his stock so much that he may go in the early 4th round.
