He was just named starting QB for the South team and spectators have had this to say.

quote:

1. QB Josh Dobbs made the most of his opportunity. He made a lot of throws this week that you just didn't see from him consistently in college. He was the third-best quarterback in Mobile, behind Pitt's Nathan Peterman and Iowa's C.J. Beathard (and he wasn't that far off of Beathard).

Having watched him throughout his career, Dobbs' performance was very, very surprising.

quote:

Josh Dobbs, Tennessee — He is an interesting study. I’ve bumped him up a little this week for two reasons: One, he had a nice opening practice on Tuesday, and two, he’s just so darned tough-minded and intelligent, traits that indicate someone will give him a chance to play QB in the NFL. Dobbs has not progressed markedly as a passer over his four years in college, but he was in a system where everything was simplified and geared toward taking advantage of the run first. (Frankly, you can’t say that the Tennessee staff earned high marks for using its talent most effectively or for its player development in a lot of cases.)

Greg McElroy said Dobbs has improved his stock so much that he may go in the early 4th round.

Can't help but root for this guy.

Can't wait to watch him on Grudens QB camp.

Lol the REDS of SECRANT will be so upset seeing a smart, African American male drafted after all they've done is mock him for 4 years

I hope Dobbs gets drafted as high as possible at his position because he seems like a nice guy and UA doesn't have a QB in the draft.

That doesn't mean he doesn't look weird as hell

Top to bottom, I don't think there is any debate. Gillespie and Shoop are the only two who could land another job in the conference

I heard other SEC schools were hot after Mike Canales but Butch snagged him away.
