Once again, if they wouldnt have allowed him on the team this girl doesn't get assaulted plain and simple... The fact that they allowed someone with a history of domestic violence on the team shows liability in their judgment.. You won't get this because you're blind...

If they wouldn't have allowed him on campus this would have never happened... How do you not see that?
Where do you think the guy would be?...in another town dating another girl with possibly the same thing occurring. Damn man! Do you think that Saban brought the guy to Tuscaloosa so he could have a domestic assault charge there or try to straighten the guy out while having another quality player on the roster..what are you even thinking?

Well hell, if he's gonna be beating women anyways, might as well get a few plays out of him right?

What you don't realize is the above is exactly why everyone thinks you're a dumbass.

Another stupid bastard raises his ugly head! Listen up genius....if this guy had been able to get his act together while in a structured environment (football program), he'd have turned his life around (good for him) and helped himself and Alabama's team (good for him AND team)....you following? Now, by screwing up, he's GONE from the program (bad for him AND team). Alabama tried to salvage the guy but couldn't...making everything a lose-lose situation.
Now, you fools can carry on with continuing to make yourselves look ridiculous, hypocritical or both.

You know why you're so mad right now, because deep down inside you are realizing that football is of more value to you than human decency... It's a hard pill to swallow but maybe it will make you better in the long run..

He needed and needs a structured environment, but it's not a football team. Hopefully he gets it.

Perhaps the University and Football program made this guy think it was okay and not that big of a deal.....since they were willing to enroll him and let him play football, despite a felony charge still looming over his head.

Perhaps, had they not signed him, he would still be at Blinn College understanding the seriousness of the situation and decided to go get more help.......

If I were the girls father, I would be suing the UofA and getting to the bottom of it. They brought a big man to the area knowing he had a pending felony charge against him.....all in hopes of making the football team better. Seems like a very easy 7 figure settlement to me.....probably even more if they somehow find out that (UofA) didn't follow admission policies to the T

ESPN

At a time when the NFL and other pro sports have increased their awareness about domestic violence, following high-profile incidents involving Ray Rice and others, Alabama took a foolish chance on Taylor for one reason. After watching Ohio State's offensive line push around his defensive line in a 42-35 loss in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff, Saban wanted to make sure it didn't happen again.

Make no mistake: Alabama's decision wasn't about rehabilitation and second chances. It was about winning, and now the Crimson Tide look like big losers -- from the top down. It's not like Alabama is Louisville, where Cardinals coach Bobby Petrino seems to take any SEC reject as he tries to build his program. The Crimson Tide have the pick of the litter when it comes to recruiting. For whatever reason, they chose a troubled prospect with fleas.

BUT I would NOT hold the university nor Saban responsible for it. How could I? They didn't make their relationship happen or cause the incident. Hell, I'd blame the guy and deal DIRECTLY with him....my honest answer.

Hmmm... The public institution was paying for his education, room and board. This is after two of the state's highest paid officials (Saban and Battle) decided collectively to admit him to the university despite previous (alleged) criminal conduct.

Unrelated (?) if the athletes eventually become classified as university employees, does that subject the university to liability when they decide to do stupid shite like this

You guys are arguing with a sack of rocks. If another school had brought in Taylor, after what happened at UGA, then coachcrisp would be giving that school all kinds of hell. It was bama that brought him in..........so it's no big deal.

oregon basketball got sued when they brought in a rapist who hadn't learned his lesson. Something similar could easily happen here, assuming saban hasn't already sent the bagman over to the girl and her family

The victim absolutely could sue the U of A, Saban, Battle, whoever. Winning that lawsuit might prove difficult. But I wouldn't classify it as frivolous.

Good luck with any law suit against a state institution regarding an off-campus altercation between a girl friend and student-athlete! You guys are stacking stupid on top of stupid.
