quote:so state is somehow capable of producing a stadium that baseball powers ark, lsu and scar can't accomplish. wow. that's impressive.
They can only do so much. No stadium will ever touch the new Dudy Noble when it's completed.
by the time the new stadium is built, i can guarantee you that all of the other 3 will have made improvements, or improvements will be on the horizon, that will equal state's new stadium. and that's IF state's stadium isn't built in phases and looks EXACTLY like the renderings

Once State has finally built new Dudy Noble, no other schools will be allowed to expand or improve their stadiums.
Maybe by the time it's built, Cohen will be in striking distance of a .500 SEC record.

pivey, just curious as to what the seating numbers will be with this new stadium? From afar, it seems like, as legendary as Nobles has always been, I never saw packed houses with the exception of the black bears' games. Will the fan base support a stadium this size? And what is with all the For Sale signs I saw on several of the left field tailgating setups the past home series on tv?

Corbin makes more than Cohen (FWIW, Vandy doesn't have to disclose salaries being a private school but its more and very close to Manieri)

actually quite the opposite. that legendary coach was vocally against hiring Cohen

He already knew how much of a count Cohen was...

Yeah Polk was pissed.
When incoming athletic director Greg Byrne made Cohen, and not Raffo, his first hire, Polk lashed out. He called the 36-year-old Byrne unqualified and said he will be taking his name off the stadium and the athletic department out of his will.

You leave out that he leads the league in ordering amateurs to throw at the heads of other amateurs. Like school on Sunday--no class.

If he doesn't lead the league since he's been the head man at State, who do you think does?

Then you aren't looking hard enough. See weadjust posts above.

The University is building permanent LFL's when the new stadium is built, thus no need for the current rigs. Now who would buy it? probably nobody.

Not a big sports guy? Figures. I'll ask someone who actually knows something about sports next time.
