Milton indicated as he left that press conference that he would likely play in the bowl game, but after receiving his senior bowl invite and discussing things over with those around him, Milton has decided it’s best for him to focus on the draft process. The veteran has been with the team throughout bowl practices in Knoxville and is with the team in Orlando helping Nico prepare for the Hawkeyes

This game's going to be such a slopfest. If we win, we'll win 10-7.

More likely 9-6. It will be a slugfest between the (current) 57th and 89th ranked kickers ( based on FG %). Tennessee's Campbell is currently 18/23 while Iowa's Stevens is 18/26. Oooof.

No better way to throw him to the wolves than against that defense without the bulk of the run game. This might be damn ugly.

He won’t but, if, for some reason, he pulls a damn Milton Orange Bowl-type performance — the troll and alter segment of our fan base will be more unbearable than last offseason guaranteed. I halfway hope it’s a reality check so Nico busts his arse in the offseason and is hungry come next fall.

The portal and draft opt-outs have rendered these bowl games pointless.

They aren't the same teams that were selected initially. Who really cares who wins?

Is there an NFL roster with the space/need for a Hail Mary specialist?

SEC QB opting out against Iowa and starting a low rep backup. Its like Deja Vu

btw this game was unwatchable.
How do you only give up 200 yards and 1 TD and lose.

edit: btw I know the answer because I watched the game but holy hell.

Bullcrap. Ole Miss is now so loaded they can devote their time to mismanaging other teams. It was Joe's decision and Joe's decision only. My guess is he listened to Hendon Hooker's advice over anything else.

Why would he opt out? He isn’t going to be taken in the first couple of rounds

Yes and no. Only that Iowa is getting fortunate once again to play a backup with little college experience.

The rest was a rant about how unwatchable that game was.

Funny enough Destin Wade transferred to Colorado this off season for... "Checks notes"... Playing time. Good luck to him unless he wants to play tight end.
