At least Sumlin was able to sign some good QBs, even if they were good elsewhere.

He even signed the only decent QB Jimbo has had post Jameis

I posted a version of this list before the season started.

Most Aggies were not having it.

Jimbo Fisher forgot how to recruit, sign, and develop quarterbacks after 2012

LoSerU fans keep saying that but not sure why. No A&M fan ever said that. If having a QB win a Heisman makes you a QB guru then I guess Sumlin is a qb guru too

Why the QB Coach isn't the highest paid assistant on any staff is beyond me. All these Offensive gurus think their system trumps the QB play, until they get fired.

His official Aggie bio literally refers to him as a "quarterback whisperer."

Can we please stop using the term “guru” to define anything football related. It’s as annoying as “generational talent“. Not to mention the folks called guru sure don’t seem to actually be one, as this thread points out about Jimbo, or as we witnessed with Muschamp.

I don't know what to say on his thoughts about Cosentino. He's probably the worst QB to take a snap at FSU in the last 40 years.

“This may be the only place where the book of traditions is thicker than my playbook,” Fisher said.

Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel going in the 1st round are two of the most mind blowing things I've ever seen in the NFL draft during my lifetime. Christian had no business going the first day much less the first round. EJ while having nice size and athleticism, had a very average arm, no zip, terrible trajectory on his passes, and very shaky poise. I'll never understand how that happened but Jimbo got the resume paddin
