Two things that Jimbo will never be able to do at Texas A&M:

1. Play an ACC schedule; and
2. Avoid playing Alabama due to Jordan Hare voodoo.

Little different situation considering FSU got top 3 talent in the 5 years before he became HC and they were players he recruited and worked with before.

Even if that were true (it's not), it wouldn't matter anyway.

He was four years in. The only "prior talent" would've been redshirt seniors and there weren't many of those on that team.

As good of a recruiter as Jimbo is his system is dependent on having an experienced/future NFL QB. If Jimbo doesn't have that he will get out-coached and lose at least 2 - 4 games. Look at the LSU and Ole Miss games this season.

If Fisher does it right, if he turns Texas A&M into a version of Florida State, he’ll get the Aggies to the College Football Playoff,

We hired Danny Ford who won a natty at clemson of all places and it didn't translate to success here, though he did get a team to the SECCG.

I looked it up. I stand corrected. He had top 10 talent for 5 years leading into the head coaching spot. Then top 5 once he became head coach. Depends on the recruiting rankings source.

Either way. He was at Florida state 6 years before winning a national title. 3 years as OC, 3 years as HC, then won the title in 4th year.

We beat bama with one of the worst quarterbacks in the SEC. We lost all of our games by an average of 6.7 points. Call me crazy but I think just a halfway decent QB is worth 7 points per game.

This is UGA and LSU fan level of delusion.

Jimbo isnt building anything. He’s maintaining Sumlin’s level of success and struggling even to that.

Jimbo hasn’t come close to developing one of those since Jameis.

Who's responsibility is it to have a qb and oline ready for situations like this year in the fourth year of their tenure?

It wasn't the player's fault, so who's fault was it?

But please keep the one game wonder and pay him more if necessary.

You just lumped a program that has won NC’s with 3 straight coaches with one that hasn’t won 1 in 40+ years and another that hasn’t in like 100. That’s bad even for a clueless state fan.

Kellen Mond? I would qualify him as halfway decent but nothing special. He got drafted in the 3rd round.

Only if he can recruit a generational talent at QB

I did no such thing. You’re a LSU fan, so reading isn’t something you’re good at.

I compared the OP to LSU fans. I never compared programs - only fanbases.

I am sorry...Jimbo could not beat LSU's JV team back in November. I know he is having a great recruiting year, but it is hard for me to respect JF at A&M.
