Sumlin never played defense. Some of the worst units we have ever had. Nothing in the Top 6 even in our conference. Anyone that wants Sumlin and his explosive offenses that lost games when they went cold or had to score 40 to win bc the defense was that bad can have him. He was also a horrible recruiter. He would land like one or 2 big time players and the rest of his class weren’t blue chippers. I can go on.
I don’t mind the Sumlin is better than Jimbo troll bc the record says it. It’s funny to point out, but the LSU troll guys (maybe they represent .05% of their fan base) posting it don’t know anything about Aggie football, our rosters, the coaches, roster management, etc. to be honest, I don’t think they know much about football. They aren’t acting stupid to make joke lol.

Sumlin couldn’t win with them bc we had no defense. We paired an explosive offense with a dud defense. LSU this year is literally built like that second year with Johnny. Top 10 offense, Top 100 defense. It’s funny you guys poke fun at a team that is a mirror build of your own. Lol how do you guys not see it? Maybe you guys need to hire Sumlin.

Which is cool, and Jimbo has it too but doesn’t use it.
When I was an older kid, I was in some small East Texas town, a HS football game, and someone pulled up in helicopter. I don’t know the context of who it was, I just thought it was so cool. I was like dang, that dude must be rich lol.

Sumlin didn't get it done and he got fired!
He obviously would have had more time if he had a contract anything near Jimbo's.
With Kevin Sumlin's pedigree as a coach, he could not command that type of contract.
That being said, as far as I am concerned, Jimbo should have never been hired. It seems like he has zero GAF at this point.

Look at their contracts, first off.
Second, it was clear that A&M was on the decline in Sumlin's last year.

The talent level at the end of the Sumlin era wasn’t even close to the level Jimbo has, I think that’s the only reason he still has his job.
