I think I read that he has a pretty steep buyout...around 7 mil...I don't think a small power 5 could afford him and a big school would want a more proven coach for that kind of scratch.

I like him though...would like to see it happen

He seems to be one of those coaches that might be a better HC than coordinator. His offenses at Bama were seriously underrated, granted, even by lots of Bama fans, but they still weren't setting the world on fire. Despite that, he's been surprisingly good at CSU.

Fort Collins is awesome. It would be hard to leave CSU for a weak P5 job...I think McElwain could hold out for bigger and better if he likes it there.

They are made very well aware of when the tests are.
