This is why Florida will never be an elite team under McElwain. He is too stiff and takes himself too seriously. Really man, get over it and lighten up. Recruits see that kind of stuff.

He is usually very easy going, people actually get bothered because at times he comes off too relaxed. I'm surprised he wasn't making light of the situation.

He's a total tool. Even Saban would probably react in a witty way to it.

That's good to hear from UF perspective. I was always curious by the hire - Florida is a top 5 program. I always thought they could have done better.

In the off-season Saban would have a laugh about it.

But he pretended not to know who won the freaking presidential election 'cause football

Exactly, if he'd just laugh it off this wouldn't be a story.

It didn't help that he showed up with that face tan, looking like a guy who spends hours upon hours out on a fishing boat wearing Costas and ogling sharks

Really makes you think it was actually him and his only choice (in his mind) is to feign outrage

The way he acted made me think there were people from the animal rights groups attacking him and his family on social media. I'd be pretty pissed if people were shite-talking my family over some BS photo.

But he still didn't need to be a pissy bitch when asked about it.

Its actually kind of impressive, I mean who else has been photographed naked with a shark?

Much less a shark with a smile on its face?

To me, McElwein tries too hard at times to mimic what he thinks Saban would do. That's not a bad thing generally but McElwein forces it.

Sharknado is missing out on a golden opportunity with this fiasco.
