Oh I don't think there is a monolith on this. JJ and company got 4 games. This doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would. I'll go with 2...but who knows. The biggest thing for Hill though is someone has a chance to step up. If the other RB's do well plus Jeremy being in Miles doghouse...he's going to lose some opportunities with the ball...starting out anyway.

TCU has a chance to be really good this year though.

But not nearly as good as at least 4 teams we'll play in conference. What I mean is that Hill isn't the deciding factor. He's not the one that will put us over the top.

I agree. If TCU wins without Hill...I doubt we have a real shot at ATL anyhow.

Great negative recruiting ammo for

when Miles suspended TM7 there were rumors going around that people were telling kids that LSU didnt take care of their players very well. so it goes both ways.

we aren't gonna lose any kids over someone being suspended or not being suspended.

1-4 game suspension is fine with me.

Hopefully Hilliard isn't a huge lard arse this year and Blue can return to pre-injury form.

It wasn't just me then. I watched the 2011 spring game and then the 2012 season. By comparison, Hilliard looked bigger but a step slower.

TCU will be without some key defensive players, so they should be able to do something.

Hilliard got bigger, slower, and ran softer from '11 to '12. I'm hoping that his ole lady isn't about to pop out another set of twins to distract him this season, like last.

I bet when this all came out Hilliard started running extra sprints...if he's smart.

Yeah but you know what. Miles should give Hill 4 games and hold that shirt up. He should announce to the whole team '2 games for foolishness and 2 game for forgetting you represent more than just yourself'. jmo

Sorry, but he got a 2nd chance after the hijinks in HS at Redemptorist here in Baton Rouge.

After seeing this video, and realizing that this is the third rather high-profile discipline issue LSU's had in its third straight offseason, Hill is out of chances.

He doesn't deserve a 3rd chance. Chitcan him. With Hilliard, Blue & Magee, you've got three good tailbacks. You could also scatback Jeryl Brazil as an incoming Frosh.

The light already came on for Hilliard anyway. Put that with Blue's money year and then Magee getting some love from Cameron and I see us just fine w/Brazil in the backfield. That's a 4 deep roster with a nice blend of size, speed, power and some juke w/Magee. Heck JC Copeland took a few carries last year as well.

We'll be fine.

That was the first thing that struck me watching the video. You're doing all this and wearing the colors? Not that wearing a Polo makes it better. But what the kid does and says reflects the whole team, the whole University.

Like Russell Shepard?

They do it all the time...Doug Planchard rocked LSU issued gear all the time while starting/provoking fights. It was different though since he didn't play.
