I get that players can improve from year to year I'm just afraid that AJ has hit his ceiling. BH has incredible talent and has put on some size.
If the game slows down for BH LSU will contend for the west again

Actually, I'm thinking 2014 LSU offense with 2014 A&M defense

The Aggie hate on here is unreal, nearly obsessive.

Gonna be a lot of disappointment when the LSU defense doesn't turn to dust in the absence of Chavis.

LSU could have won 2 more titles if just had let Lee lead the team

This just isn't true, and I'm tired of this narrative. Lee was doing great until the Bama game, but Bama's D was eating his lunch. Jefferson's legs gave us enough offense to move the ball during the GOTC. Then when 1/9 rolled around the entire game plan was awful, and the O line played like they didn't even want to be there. Now should they probably have benched JJ on 1/9 to try to get a little spark since no one was having a good game? Maybe, but Lee being benched in the GOTC was the right call.
This situation is not 2011. I'm tired of the comparisons.

Reinstated! Just in time. For a while I thought we wouldn't have a QB.

I just disagree. Talent wise Lee would have been a champion with the right play calling and more experience. JJ was a mental midget.

Lee was not a talented QB

ETA: Jennings is not a good enough passer for the SEC. He seems like a pretty good guy and I'm glad he's at LSU but he doesn't need to be starting.

You remember Lee's game against georgia? How about bama. When Lee played elite defenses, he crumbled. Defense and special teams won us a lot of games in 2011. Not the QB.

You don't have to agree with me, I know many LSU fans IRL who are still upset that lee's talent wasn't utilized.

I still think he starts over Harris because he's older.

You're right other than the 2 1/2 years that Jefferson started over Lee.

JaMarcus Russell was also younger than Matt Flynn, though they were in the same class.

So, other than those 4 years, you're correct.

Lulz, when? He sure looked great against Auburn last year.

I love when this is the only game anyone ever brings up. He played poorly, was a little too charged up and overthrew everyone. Miles even publicly stated he failed to prepare Harris for that start. In just about any other game he played in he looked great. He just about single handedly brought us back to a win against MSU in 1 quarter.

True freshman starting his first game in a place where LSU rarely wins against the defending conference champs. I mean, it is just shocking that anyone would play poorly in such a situation.

Harris is obviously more talented than Jennings. He has good arm strength and good running ability. He just needs to take the reins of the offense and not give them back to Jennings. Word is he has made a lot of progress toward doing that this summer.

The SEC doesn't want LSU to have a good QB. That's their worst nightmare. Unfortunately, LSU is closer to getting quality play than people on this board think.

Game 1 doesn't matter. Who starts doesn't matter. What matters is who will play the majority of game 2 vs MSU. I believe it will be Jennings.

He's not being charged with anything so I doubt he gets suspended.
Just because the so called "Victim" was paid off by "Team Clean Sweep" to drop the charges, doesn't mean that he's not guilty of breaking and entering a dwelling, in addition to displaying a remarkably dysfunctional decision making process. Miles should suspend him for that and hold him out for at least one game, preferably 2 or 3 to really make a point.............

Unfortunately for LSU, the defense suffered too much attrition to compete for a title in 2013.

But my comment was made in the context of the 2015 team, which returns 9 starters from the #1 defense in the conference. I know you already knew that, though.
