But my comment was made in the context of the 2015 team, which returns 9 starters from the #1 defense in the conference. I know you already knew that, though.

New D coordinator though.

Perfect, I was getting pretty tired of watching Alabama's game winning drives.

You can't just pretend all things are equal and the only thing you need is a good quarterback this year. That's delusional.

It's also the exact same narrative we've heard about Lsu for the past 4 years. But the two years you actually had a good quarterback (2012 and 2013), you didn't win jack shite.

Now you'll know you're losing a lot earlier since you'll be down 60-13

IMO the Dline will be the biggest factor in determining the success of LSU's season. The offseason reviews have been very positive but depth may be an issue. The QB situation is obvious but a decent performance is all it will take with the running game.

There's a lot to like about LSU in 2015 if the QB situation pans out because the rest of the team is pretty solid. THAT'S what I mean. It is more of a year-specific statement based on the players we currently have. 2014 was obviously a rebuilding year all around. We played more freshmen than anyone in the conference. We've identified the talent, they just need to grow into their roles.

2012 - Mett didn't play that well.
2013 - Defense suffered attrition.
2014 - Rebuilding year
2015 - Back to where we were circa 2010 (I think), still waiting on good QB play

Im not sold on either LSU QB.

If one of them performs well, watch out.

I really believe he will start. Even if he plays average LSU will probably win a championship.

Man, I'm having déjà vu from 2012, 2013, and 2014.
