Anyone else think it's a little odd that Arkansas pays $900k to kill off the best thing to ever happen to the football program/school?
Could've paid me a helluva lot less to destroy Arkansas football.

Yea, we could have used some more 32 WR's, 15 QB's, 10 TE's, No OL, No DL, 3 LB's and 4 DB's

I know it's easy to talk bad about Petrino now that you guys have BB. You gotta admit though, that was the best AR has been in a very long time. Aside from Nutt winning the West in a very depleted year. Petrino had AR competing in the West and playing in a BCS bowl win the West was really, really good.

I feel like BMFP is one of the best coaches over the last 20 years. I don't feel the same about Bret.

Bret had to do more with less at Wisconsin, at Arkansas he'll have more fertile recruiting ground, more $ for assistants, better facilities and the SEC to sell. Hell his class at Arkansas this year was higher ranked than any class he had at Wisconsin, and he did that in 2 months.

again as always the only people who get it are other fan bases. Petrino is a coach and will be back in the SEC very soon and if not the SEC then some other big boy conference after next season.
Long and Slive may be able to keep him out of the SEC but they will not be able to keep him out of other conferences and off the National stage. Petrino will be back and into a BCS bowl with a major program within 2-4 college football seasons while Bielema will more than likely be unemployed.

Much like Leach at Tech, Arky was able to stay a thorn in our aide for awhile---defying all objective indicia suggesting they shouldn't.
But much like Tech under Leach, they just never had anything to really show for it (e.g. conference titles, all time wins, etc.).

in the SEC, no conference titles. However 3 SECCG appearances a BCS bowl and 11 wins/top 5 finish is better than anything Tech accomplished. Dump lump us in with them.
