Jayden Daniels is the first Heisman winner to opt out of a bowl game...

Since the downfall of the BCS and the advent of the College Football Playoff there has been an alarming number of negative precedents being set in the sport.

Why would he play? Not like playing Wisconsin is going to make his draft stock go up.

The game is definitely changing.

LSU is full of quitters in life

No loyalty to LSU whatsoever. Just there for the paycheck

IN before the bama baws come in and say, "this is the second time he quit on his team this year"
Then proceed to say that BK killed a kid.

Would have happened sooner but last year's winner was an underclassman.

It’s the culture of the LSU football team

In his defense, he’s the only Heisman QB in the playoff era whose team isn’t in the playoff and who has nothing to prove by playing a mid-tier bowl.
Lamar Jackson is the only other one, and people were still trying to say he’d be better at WR than QB, so he needed to play.

Why is there an NCAA? What is it's purpose? And why do they take so much of our money?

The cost/benefit analysis for Jayden is clear as day.
You idiots telling me you would advise your son in the same situation to go put it all on the line for a meaningless bowl game with 1st round money on the line?
GTFO

Very smart move, go into the draft healthy.

I mean...Bryce Young was a former Heisman Trophy winner whose Top 5 status in the draft was all but sewn up. Yet he decided to play with his teammates one final time in a "meaningless" Sugar Bowl game against Kansas State.

Why? Because he owes it to his brothers on the team.

One could also argue that is locked up the #1 spot by balling out that game too.
