Is it true that Gus hasn't named a starter yet? If that is the case, do Auburn fans expect something soon or closer to week 1 of the season?

It's not official, but for all intents and purposes Stidham is the starter. He's the one that been getting almost all 1st team reps since he got on campus.
Pretty sure the only time Gus has ever named a starter before August was 2014 when Nick Marshall was the returning starter.
Even Cam Newton wasn't "officially" named starter over Neil Caudle until a few weeks before the season. But everybody still knew it was Cam.

Figured as much, it is interesting the difference in how some coaches handle naming a starter. I don't think it matters much either way but certain coaches definitely go about it in different ways.
