Not sure if he quit or cut to be honest. But he did play some on that season so its kinda odd. Here is a pic with Zac Etheridge who is 6' 1" 212 lbs. Chizik doesn't seem to be much shorter at all and looks 20 lbs thicker.

LOL on the shoulder pants. But you really think he is 5 9 or something and playing LB at UF?

Yep. I told you. I've stood face to face and shook his hand. He's not much taller than Saban... really.

Go look up his college stats or something. He's not tall... at all..

For the record... I think all you Auburn guys that are saying: "frick you Willis" are off base.

He seems like a great guy and he gave Auburn the majority of the best years of his life.

He'd still be there if it weren't for the uncertainty during Tubb's departure. Have some respect for a career Auburn guy, you sniveling goat humpers.

good lord, there are some freaking stupid arguments in this thread... what does it matter what Chizik's height is?.... or Saban for that matter?.... or if he walked on or played at UF...

As for Willis.... it's all good. I don't harbor any ill will.... we ended up with Tommy Thigpen out of the deal, who is a better coach and recruiter than Willis (my opinion of course).

No trash for Coach WIllis here. I respect him as an Auburn man.

I do have a question though, does Nick Saban really have to use a booster seat to make those commercials for Ford trucks?

Thigpen may be a better recruiter but I dont think he is a better LB coach. Willis has put out some incredible LB's at Auburn and now Bama is going to have first rounders for the next three years.

I saw that pic, Chizik is bending over. Look at the full sized version. Plus EA is a tall drink of water and she is probably in heels knowing how fine she is.

There will be know talking to most... to many he'll always be a traitor (unless he becomes a successful head coach somewhere, then he'll be top on many of these same fan's list). The way he left (right before signing day) is what rubs me wrong.

AU waited until after signing day to secure Thigpen from UNC...

two things...

1) Thig coaches safeties... roof coaches LBs (part of the reason Willis left)

2) What 'great' LBs did Auburn produce between 06-08?... we were solid, for sure, but guys like Karibi Dede, Will Herring, Chris Evans, ect... aren't world beaters.

Yes...it is amazing to me how Auburn shite on him the way they did. He is a class act and I am sure that he now wishes he had played at Alabama since he has found himself surrounded by greatness everyday instead of just when BAMA came to town.

He is now loved by Alabama in will remain forever in our family. He actually has too much class to be associated with Auburn anymore.

I think the biggest problem people had with Willis leaving was the timing. Had he left when Chizik first came on board, not that big of a deal. Hell, Auburn and UA have swapped out coaches for a long time. But to leave 2 weeks before signing day, while Auburn was in the middle of trying to right the ship, was shitty imho. I am sure he is a good coach, and a good man, but that was a "frick you" move if I ever saw one.
