UT's career rushing record is under 3k yards iirc, that's not saying as much as you think

And I'll add that Hurd is a power back and not made to take the ball standing still 8 yards deep in the backfield...He's made for a Bama, UGA type offense more than UT's offense and yet he has excelled.
I actually agree with this. As good as Hurd is, Butch's offense is not the perfect fit for him. He's a 240 pound hammer designed to get going north/south with a head of steam as quickly as possible imo.

3,078 by Travis Henry. And the ones in the top 5 played only 3 years and a couple only 2 1/2 due to injury. UT went for a good while having a stable of RBs every year that split a lot of time similar to Hurd and Kamara last season and will be the same this season..

Those are actually pretty damn good numbers considering that most of their offensive talent is average. They had a couple good OL and a good good WRs, and a QB that couple rip off a 30 yard run one minute then overthrow an open WR by 10 yards.
I don't think Hurd is overrated at all. He's a step slower than most elite backs, but he makes up for it with his size.

If Hurd played Safety he would be a top 10 draft pick.

Troll much?
This is an incredible stat line against Bama.

More like linebacker. Hurd is prob too big to play safety

At one point, the VOLS had the following backfield stable:
Jamal Lewis
Travis Henry
Travis Stephens
Onterrio Smith was 4th string
And that's after Dominique Stevenson who was Prep Star and Blue Chip All-America teams was moved to LBer

That is pretty good considering the opponents and that Butch's system isn't a good fit for him.
Florida's terrible ending to their season really caused them to lash out and obsess over Tennessee fans.

The amount of threads Florida fans have made regarding Tennessee this off-season has got to be a record. I wonder if UT is on their mind?
That would be A&M vs. LSU threads for the record.

If you believe that list is remotely accurate you don't deserve to post anymore.

There are a lot of factors that go into calculating a RB's talent level other than the box score.
Little things like if his team gets behind early it limits his touches from scrimmage. What was his receiving contribution the offense. Is the offense one dimensional with no other downfield threats that would keep 9 men out of the box.
This is the same argument people try to use against LF7, it doesn't hold water. Both are great backs in their own right. Stop being a little weenie and trying to discredit him as a legit back with only a sample of his overall stats.
This analysis is bad and you should feel bad.

The threads started by hillbillies that blow trumpets up their own anus is what the record is.

Never have I seen one team whack themselves off as much the puke orange crowd. The preseason king of college football...over and over. Pray tell, WHO have the Vols beaten? You cant answer because it hurts.
The Gators are going to be a pretty mad bunch when they come out on Neyland field....ready to shut the damn hype up.

Dobbs is a better runningback than Hurd.
Hurd is an above average back. He's near the top in the SEC, but certainly not the best or second best.

Good. Then Dobbs - Hurd - and Kamara can truck the jorts off you mofo's. They trucked you fricking weasels up and down the field last year. Final score didn't show it but your team knew they were skull drug by the Vols. Cannot wait for this game this year.

All bullshite aside Hurd is a beast and any team that went against him will tell you that. The problem is we have a bunch of Monday morning QB's who never played football especially college football. They would get their arse run straight over by Hurd but they sit behind a keyboard talking shite.
