Eason and it's not a contest. Hurts is not a QB. He's a terrible passer, is too stupid to get his team into the right play half the time, and turns the ball over like it's his job. Fortunately for him he plays with athletes that do a great job of hiding just how fricking awful he actually is. Hurts should be playing in the slot. The fact that his picture was even shown alongside guys like Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, and the kid from UDub was a fricking disgrace to the Heisman trophy and everything it stands for.

Hurts may be the better QB this year, arguably just on the better team if you ask me, but he has nowhere near the ceiling of Eason.

Why do you say this? Because of recruiting rankings? Eason is wildly inaccurate right now. So is Hurts. Difference is Hurts ran for near 1000 yards and 12 TDs, and still passed for more yards and more TDs than Eason with a higher completion percentage by 10%.

Right now Hurts is sitting with the best coaching staff in the nation with some great QB coaches. His ceiling and stock are much higher than Eason's, especially if you guys keep Chaney.

I am talking about talent not stats . Of course Hurts has better stats he is playing on the best team in the country.

Where is the great Blake Sims at now days? He had even better numbers then Hurts so I am sure he is killing in the NFL as a QB right now .

So do you actually think Hurts will be drafter higher then Eason or have a better NFL career as a QB? If he is actually a better passer then it should be a no brainer because Hurts is clearly the better athlete.

My only observation about Eason -- and this is neither an insult nor a prediction -- is that we really can't say how he'd perform with a better line-up. I think it was Royal who said something to the effect that 'potential is just something you ain't done yet.' Or something to that effect. Eason could certainly be the next in a long line of really superb UGA qbs, but saying he's struggling because of his o-line isn't the same as saying he'd excel with a good o-line. He can boom that ball, no question. But we don't yet know about his decision-making skills and aim if he's given the opportunity to control the offense relatively unimpeded.

How many deep passes did Eason actually throw accurately? Ive seen Eason rifle short passes over WRs heads this year plenty. What the hell difference does it make how far he is throwing it they arent accurate throws?

Typical UGA fan mentailty. You rednecks love the fireworks. He is awesome because he can sling it 25 yards past the receiver but hell look at that arm!

Hurts and its not close.

Agreed. I am pretty critical of Jalen Hurts too. He has a lot to improve on in the passing game and he needs to protect the ball better but he is much better than Eason.

Hurts every time. Eason doesn't have the same tools Hurts does.

While Eason will be good for GA. He isn't even the best QB out of the state of GA in the SEC this year. That honor would go to Nick Fitzgerald.

I sad Eason was clearly the better passer which he will prove in the NFL. If Hurts was actually a better passer he would be drafted higher and have a better NFL career but even you homers know that's not going to happen. I would take the player with actual passing talent over a guy that only has good stats because of the offense he is in.

Hurts by far.

Eason has been terrible constantly throwing late and off target. If Eason doesn't get a lot better early in 2017 he will be behind Jake Fromm.

His ceiling isn't even close to Eason. The simple fact is Hurts is on a far better team, behind an infinitely better offensive line, and throwing to far better receivers. Eason would be far better one Bama's team.
