Patterson or Davis would be damn good..of course it wouldn't take much to be better than Miles...

He's Nick Saban without the defensive prowess. A stop sign has more personality the "The Penguin"

Lot of interesting responses, especially considering all the hell we took from everyone for wanting rid of Goober Nutt. We were branded delusional for wanting something better.

I think Nutt is a good coach but not a great coach. I don't blame an Arkansas fan for wanting better but the venom and obsession from the message board goobers was pretty over the top

indeed it does when LM is your coach. Funny that you talk shite ab a coach that's coached circles ar Miles practically every year. And I'm not in any way advocating that boob to coach here.

I think Nutt has the ability to make a lot of people think he is a good coach.

I don't think there is any fanbase in the country that is without a certain percentage of retards, 'course our percentage may be a little higher.

mangini has defensive experience

hell most of his career has been on defense before being a head coach.

I agree with this. Unfortunately, Miles may very well fall into this category as well.

2010 will be a telling year for Miles at LSU. I'm certainly hopeful that he can turn things around. IMO, he's an easy guy to root for when the perception is that so many people are rooting against him.

But these kinds of threads really make me want Miles to succeed at LSU, because although there are certainly some quality coaches out there, I don't think any of the coaches mentioned are "slam dunks" to be better than Miles.

Another name that has yet to be mentioned is RichRod ... Long shot, but I think he could be a lot more successful in Baton Rouge than at Michigan.

I don't think any coach on that list can be considered a shoe in to come here and do better than what Miles has already done.

It doesn't matter because after LSU wins the SEC West this year Miles will get an extension.

I hope so, I like Miles and want him to succeed - not just because I want LSU to succeed

I too think RichRod would do very well at LSU. He is as bad a fit for Michigan as Miles is for LSU. I honestly think both schools would be better off if they switched HC's. I'm glad it won't happen though. RR at LSU with all the speed the state of LA has to offer would be scary.

I think Will Muschamp is exactly what Nick Saban was when he came to LSU. I think WM is the best up and coming coach in college football today.

Just my opinion.
