Its more than likely a result of them actually buying into the hype this offseason and having real expectations for the first time in awhile.
Had the blown out App St, they wouldnt really be talking about it. After lucking into an OT win they are now shitting all over the board with 1-0 type posts.
Its kind of like a delayed melt, a slow burn.

After watching that App State game, I'm more worried about WVU than Tennessee. Our D-line is gonna destroy the sorry excuse for an O-line y'all got. Tennessee is garbage.

This is just the annual painful alignment of Tennessee's offseason expectations with the reality of the season. You'll get used to it.

So, Tenn fans are officially reduced to the taunt that "App. St. is better than (you)"?
After all the off season hype about how great Tenn would be this year, wouldn't the better strategy just be to go quiet for a few weeks and hope this isn't as embarrassing a season as last night suggests?

They should be worried. Their senior QB looked like a freshman and their OL looked just as bad. This is basically the same team from last year that finished with 9 wins but could've easily had 11 wins if not for their coaching. I expected the Vols to look crisp even if it was the 1st game but if they don't their shite straight, this Vols team won't sniff 9 wins.
