It's always nice if you grew up a Bama fan (like me) or attended UA (I unfortunately did not) BUT the only requirement is to love Bama.

Yeah, it's important to not overthink it. I have a degree from another SEC school but my heart desires to process crimson blood. At the end of the day, we are either Bama fans or we are in denial.
My wife's therapist helped me see this (a fellow Bama friend now).

I have been an LSU fan for the better part of 50 years, but there is freedom in going against the grain of the rest. It's a game, not my life, and I'll Damn sure cheer for whoever I Damn well please. A pussy is someone who is prisoner to some rule someone else made up.
