The gag order makes a hell of a lot of sense now. At least until the Heisman ballots were turned in, and the BCSCG match up set.

"who am i to sit up here and say whether what he did was right or wrong....not to say he even did it"
i think that line was very telling from the interview. we all know there was something fishy goin on, now its just if they can prove it, which i dont see happening.

If I was Auburn id tell him the next time you speak it will be to annouce you are going pro. Everytime he opens his mouth he says something he shouldnt say and facts or no facts he keeps looking guilty as hell.

No he's not. He was 20 when he went to Auburn. A kid can't drive a vehicle yet.

Cam's interview is very interesting. I think people need to listen to the part when Fowler brings up MSU again. Fowler gave Cam a very good chance to say that what he said was misunderstood. Instead he backs up the reports made by "two MSU recruiters". When asked if reports about AU payments were untrue, he responds by saying he is not going to talk about reports of that.
When asked if anything he said could have been misunderstood or taken out of context, his reply is-- (with a smile) " In my hands, through my eyes, I feel nothing was misunderstood, I have a firm,I'm clear with everything that I said during that conversation".

Even funnier is that his avy is of an admitted drug dealer, and an accessory to murder.

You mean lying about my own eligibility and the method behind how a team was put together? A team that's playing in the one game that will determine who the best team is in the multi-million dollar industry that is college football.
No actually, can't say I remember doing something that sleazy

I don't see why other fans care at this point whether he knew or not. Its hilarious that most of you pretend that you have some moral issue when half of any one of our SEC teams (save Vandy) are comprised of borderline thugs. Give me a break, if making him out to be a liar makes you sleep better than go for it. Its not like his performance was enhanced through his moral character. This 'thieving liar' embarrassed every D this year and nothing is going to change that. Forfeiture of games is not going to erase the fact that Cam Newton owned the SEC this year. Fact

I felt like there was something fishy when I heard him say "beating a dead horse". I thought why would he be beating a dead horse if all these allegations are just now coming out? (not the driving or academic records)

Its the TEAM's performance that was enhanced you stupid hick. The fact that Aubies like you cannot even grasp this simple concept is just comical at this point.

Son, unless Johnny Utah, Scully, Mulder, and J Edgar find out the whom, what, when, where, and why, and force our hand in the matter, we are content with a good ole fashioned cover-up.

It's not wanting to believe something that's more than likely true. It's up to the NCAA to determine whether it is true, and they haven't done so at this point. But I think they will.

Yes I have lied in my lifetime, but when caught I was also willing to take my punishment, and I was younger than Cam Newton.
I have never stolen anything, and I certainly have never stolen a term paper from a classmate by writting my name on it. If he committed murder, are you just going to say "he's a kid".
Come on, wake up, this guy is a spoiled jerk and a liar.

Cam has ruined Auburns reputation.
I once respected Auburn. Now, not so much.
That seems to be the concensus from people I discuss college football with.

That's not the fricking point here. The point is that his performance enhanced the TEAM he played for, period. Regardless of what you or anyone else thinks of Newton's on-the-field dominance, his performance put your program in the situation they are currently in today. The NCAA ruling him eligible to play was based on the premise that he didn't know what his shitty father was up to......
