Congrats. What do you have to show for those trips?
So by your logic only one team in the entire nation is "good" every year?

Stop talking out of your arse and shove a dil-doe in it. You're just an Alter trolling. Every single one of these teams has a loss to an unranked opponent. We have zero losses and have played only one game vs a non-ranked opponent.
OP talking about Historical, not a few games of the 2017 season, idiot.

I think his point is that to be considered relevant -- certainly as a "baseball school" -- you have to take home the prize. Perhaps even more than once.

Just because you're invited to the dance, doesn't make you a prom king. And to be considered a baseball school, you have to win it all. Otherwise, you're just an attendee.

Schools like LSU, who are a perennial power in baseball, expect to compete for championships -- not just invitations.

LSU, Cal State Fullerton, Arizona, Texas, Miami, etc., are considered baseball schools and "good" because they have the hardware to back it up. You don't have to win it every year, but those schools are typically in the hunt. They receive invitations and excel beyond the pack. That's "good" to an LSU fan. Everything else is forgettable to them, because top-tier programs expect nothing less.

I might be wrong, but I believe that's the gist of what he's saying.

No, not at all. But you've been there four times and have left empty handed every time. Every year, Arkansas is hyped up going into the season, and they never win anything notable. You haven't won a conference tournament since you came to the SEC, and your last regular season title was in 2004. All bark, no bite.

And do note that Florida State is a big school that is a huge baseball school. 47 NCAA Tournaments, 19 CWS, 3 CWS Runners UP. And 0 National Titles. Just incredible. This school should have won one right now. I think they've been to a NCAA Tournament every year since 1977. I mean good grief.

As an LSU fan I know two things by reading this post.

1- the OP has never been to Oxford b/c if he had he would have never posted this. That town is part of what the SEC is all about.

2- If the SEC was EVER stupid enough to start making punitive decisions like that it would become a scary place overnight.

Dumbest post of the new year IMO

It's what the SEC is all about? The tailgating with Confederate flags at the Grove? There's a reason they "always win the party". Because as I stated above, they don't win much else.

I say kick out Mizzou along with them so we'll have even numbers. Pare it down a bit to re-strengthen rivalries. 6 teams in each division is all we need.

If only your athletic director was as confident. In the awkward video Ole Miss released, he states "Ole Miss will remain a valued member of the SEC". Funny, if he is so confident, why did he have to state this? I have a feeling he is feeling the pressure from the rest of the SEC of not being a valued member. So he had to address it in his spin manner. But I wouldn't take anything he says too seriously. Remember the investigation was over last February according to him. I guess he didn't realize that penalties have to come before the COI before a case closes.

I believe LSU has 6 national titles, and not just 4.

How many SEC teams would there be if we kicked a school out for getting caught cheating in the last 20-30 years? About five?

I mean we expect to win the championship too. Having gone 3 times in the last 7 years proves going there isn't that big of a deal for us. We do it more than you do tbh. I mean the only thing the bayou Bengals have over us is the 07 title

Florida State has never won a title. They've been runner up 3 times and haven't missed the tournament since '77. Is coastal Carolina more of a baseball school than Florida state? Your whole argument that your not good at baseball unless you win the whole thing is asinine. That's like saying gonzaga isn't a good basketball school because they've never won a title.

Well, my own criteria is that you have to win more than one title, which eliminates the fluke scenario and establishes a running tradition.
