I'd put 10 years as the over/under on scrooster himself.

You should've at least gone with left ovary. Left vagina just sounds weird.

What many people are trying to get across, what I think some Mizzou posters don't want to accept is that in this league, Mizzou has a lower ceiling. A coach's accomplishments are on a sliding scale at Mizzou, considering their disadvantages compared to the rest of their league.

At a Big 6 school, Pinkel gets 10 wins consistently, occasionally 12 or a bad season of 8.

At Mizzou, facing the SEC, it's 8 wins consistently, occasionally 10 or a bad season of 6.

Something like that.

Yeah, we know it. It's why Pinkel will likely get to orchestrate his own retirement.

It's just frustrating to see SEC caliber defensive players and coaches wasted on a high school offensive staff.

He just needs to find an offense and a QB. Mizzou may want to try a more spread type offense. Those QBs seem to be a little easier to find. Either way, you guys need an offense. Honestly watching you guys makes my eyes bleed. I don't think I have ever seen such a futile offense in all my years of watching football. I mean it's awful.

Be careful what you wish for.... Coach Pinkel, like Coach Richt, provides integrity and stability to your football program. Most teams have down years depending on recruiting success, injuries, etc. Yet these off years are seen as opportunities for outstanding players who are also fans of your team and these are the players you want on your team. Keep your chin up and good luck through the rest of your season.

Sounds great . Then you guys can hire a someone else and then stay at the bottom of the east with Vandy. Pinker has done a great job with that program. It's just not a big time program and fans have to realize they don't. Elong at the top of the east . I can see why so many Missouri fans were talking trash early on in the season when they were barely beating bad teams. Some of you guys are crazy.

really name a program that wants him..

I would love to have him at A&M. He is the second best coach in Mizzou history.

I feel like the real money is on the sidelines waiting for the next move.

It's time to ante up, and use some of that equity to get a next level program rolling.

That is a dangerous assumption.

I mean, A&M is doing everything we can to buy our way to success and yet we have had less success in the SEC than Pinkel has had despite having WAY more money than Mizzou has to throw at the problem.

What separates college programs is coaching, and getting the right coach can often be a crapshoot.

Every year we have some hot candidate like Fuente, but you really think that Mizzou has enough to get him to go there over places like USC or even Virginia Tech? No way.

So Mizzou would have to take an absolute RISK on its next coaching hire, go for someone that has done well as a coordinator or at a much lower level of football and hope it translates. It could all work out, but it much more likely could be a worse situation than Pinkel.

Your response will be frick me, we have money, we can get whoever we want. And even if you are right and I am wrong (which I don't think I am, yall aren't a top 20 revenue team) any hire is a risk.

Pinkel is the second best coach in Mizzou history, He has now achieved in both the Big 12 and the SEC. He has earned the ability to frick up with a coordinator hire or two.

Why? This is your place in the SEC

This is what happens when you play decent west teams...you get owned at home

No coach is gonna change that. It's what your program is

One bad year and Mizzou fans want to fire the guy that finally made them somewhat relevant.

Firing Pinkel would set Mizzou back 10 years because of all the better programs that will be looking for coaches this year. USC, VT, South Carolina are all better jobs, and those are just the ones that we know will be open. There is no way in hell they would even be able to hire away a head coach from another program. They would inevitably have to go the coordinator route and HOPE he works out.

Mizzou needs to keep Pinkel until he retires.

But he wants to fire Pinkel and hire Saban because he's ready for the program to reach the next level. Forget the fact that he's taken a school with absolutely no tradition, resources, prestige, or anything else and taken them to 2 SEC championships. There's virtually a 0% chance that mizzou improves under any other coach that would take that job, their fan base is so comically delusional

Just to expand on this: y'all had ONE 10-win season in the first 104 years as a program. You've had 5 under Pinkel since 2007. Fire his arse though!!!!!111!!!! Enjoy him while you can OP, you're going to miss the shite out of him when he's gone
