I’m not a UK fan although I have an enormous respect for the program and its traditions, I guess what I was trying to say is some people seem to be acting like he would be an out in the ozone hire and I think Drew would be a home run hire for anyone. Dude can coach.

The people who want Drew to be the next UK coach are rival fans.
Drew is simply not that great of a coach. He’s a great guy, but his overall record and B12 record are highly suspect. In his 22 years of coaching, he’s made the Elite 8 only 3 times. On top of that, he has a record of 8-29 against Kansas. He caught lightning in a bottle during the 2021 year when the COVID policies were still in place and many teams weren’t playing at full strength. Barnhart is a goddamn idiot if he thinks Drew will have success at UK.

Great hire. He turned a private Baptist university into a top 10 bball program. He can do even better at Kentucky. A+++

WOW…..great pick up for the Wildcats…..Drew is a really good coach that will now have access to the UK resources. Expect UK to be back in the hunt once more.
