Ole Miss fans love to beat their own chest over "tearing up the SEC west" but without the two big wins over Bama the rest is really average at best. Splits with average LSU and Auburn teams and dropping both games to Arkansas would be a good year if you don't lose one to the east. I don't have to tell you the rest of the story. Depth has been the Bears problem the last two years and I don't see that changing.There is a big difference between keeping someone else out of the playoffs and going yourself.

actually i do. i'm not in the group that thinks college athletes should be paid. and even if i were, it's still against the rules now. if someone commits infractions egregious enough to get caught, then they deserve to be punished accordingly. it's more to do with creating an unfair competitive advantage than preserving the amateurism of the sport
