Win the offseason. Fact is OM goes out of state in search of talent and has an extra low percentage of MS players. I think yall have around 38 players from MS out of 99.

You just cannot compete in the long run with the bigger named schools focusing on the out of state players.

the most experienced in the conference.

No flame, but I see you guys keep bringing this up. Is this based off of starts/letters or is there another metric?

the metric of we didn't lose a single OLineman on our two-deep.....at all.

so...we return every single person that made a start last year.

in other words....for every snap we took last season...we return every offensive lineman that played on that snap.

I'm not sure why it's so difficult for you to understand it when we tell you we don't lose a single, fricking offensive lineman. Please reply if you are still having issues figuring this out. I'm sure I can make you a nice coloring book....just try not to eat all of the crayons first.

No one has said they are good, just that they are experienced. Tunsil (2 year starter), Morris (3 year starter), Still/Conyers (1 year starter and SR/2 years backup and occasional starter when needed), Bell (3 year starter), Cooper (1 year starter and SR).

Again, no one is saying they are the best OL in the league, just that they are all back from last year, which makes them the most experienced OL in the league.

Not sure why OP thinks this is a ground-breaking discovery. OM fans already know 2016 will be rough. Should be fine in 2017 though.

The defense this year is deeper, especially at DL and DB. Need turnover production out of the DB's to compensate for Cody and Senqueze but the talent is there. LB had bodies but a couple need to take the next step to be a solid SEC LB. The one position Freeze has swung and missed on too many times in recruiting. Overall the ceiling for this defense may not be as high as it was last year but the floor is much higher.

Offensively the weapons are there. If the OLine can have a some type of run effectiveness to shorten the chains and keep us out of 2nd and 12 the QB doesn't turn it over then the offense could he above average. If the OLine is no better than last year and no QB takes the job then we could be fighting in the cellar of the West but because of how good the division is.

Bottom line is we have a good to great defense with an offense that could be anywhere from below average to above average. That will determine how this team ends up.

You can tell Ole Miss hasn't signed a highly regarded quarterback in a long time when they think a kid from the high school class of 2016 is going to miraculously lead them to contention in the 2017 season.

Who was the last starting QB for Ole Miss that y'all signed out of high school?

There are a lot more Philip Sims, Rhett Bomars, and Gunner Kiels than there are Johnny Manziels, Tim Tebows, and Cam Newtons

So Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariotta, Tim Tebow, Chris Leak and other top QB recruits didn't help their team be contenders?

Easy Turbo, I'm sorry I don't keep up with the starters on your O-Line.

Looks like that two deep just took a hit: Rod Taylor done for the year

I'd appreciate that coming from an ole miss alum. If you could get Jerrell Powe to author the forward, that would be great!
