It's beneath any SEC fan to address Texas or Oklahoma.

They are beneath us and to acknowledge them elevates those parasites to a status that is neither warranted nor earned. IFFF they can prove their worthiness AFTER their arrival then they will have begun the process of earning it. Lowly Vanderbilt has more cred than either of them. Vanderbilt has been in the SEC since it's founding in 1933. We have a shared tradition and we view them as our 'Brothers in Arms," albeit a weak one. I refuse to extend that camaraderie to these two illegal aliens who's sole purpose in slinking into the SEC was money and an unjustified sense of entitlement. I won't validate their existence by acknowledging their presence anymore than I would acknowledge a pile of dog shite as a dog.

Is constantly obsessing over us beneath SEC fans too?

As a Mizzou fan, I completely agree. What are these carpetbaggers doing here?

Who pissed in your Wheaties? Is your life going to be in turmoil with Texas and Oklahoma entering? Has your life taken a downward trend with Missouri and Texas A&M in?

Nobody gives a shite about SEC fan's mindless attempts to establish their perceived pecking order on a message board. Your constant attempts to bluster and fluff your feathers amounts to precisely dick.
It will work itself out, and nothing said on this silly board will have any impact on the outcome whatsoever....

Meh - say what you will. I'm going to try road-tripping to Norman when Kentucky plays there. I've worked Tulsa and OKC. Oklahoma is my kinda' people. Always had a good time there.
And I really, really want to do the Chili Bowl one time. A week of indoor dirt track racing and beer drinking, living out of my RV ? Don't threaten me with a good time.

True...at the end of the day all we can do as fans is enjoy the show. I like to give and take shite from opposing fans as much as anyone but I think most will agree the thought of traveling to Austin and Norman and having those teams come to your place is exciting. When it rarely happened before conference realignment both fan bases were pumped for it. Its better to play a quality opponent than a directional rent a win...playing teams with a history like OU and Baja Oklahoma is off the charts. I am confident that OU and Baja Oklahoma fans alike are similarly excited about playing the Auburns and Floridas and Bamas on a regular basis.

The entire OU fanbase is nothing but excited to play a real schedule, travel to better venues, and meet fanbases we've never interacted with before both at home and away. Why wouldn't we be?
Absolutely NOBODY thinks we're walking into an easier, or even remotely similar, athletic situation in the SEC and we welcome that. BIG XII titles stopped being interesting to us YEARS ago.
And since I'm in such a sharing mood today, another truth nugget for the board:
It wasn't texsa who led the discussions with the SEC for us to make the move.

No, it is part of the freshman hazing policy in the SEC. Did you not read the fine print on the contract?

You’re definitely not triggered at all. absolutely not.

I appreciate what you said, but you have to remember, you are the new kids on the block and you had know that the older kids would push you around a little here.
I think it's more the Texas fans with their over inflated egos on this board thinking they are going to come into the SEC and run over every team. That's just not going to happen. Playing week after week in the SEC is tough, rarely do teams make it thru the season undefeated because is it such a grind.

Um, it's not all Texas fan who thinks like this. I'd say 95% of the Texas posters here are not even Texas fans. They are alters trying to stir up shite.

You're not going to change anything about texsa on a message board. You're not going to change anything about texsa at all outside of their W/L record. They reflect the culture of their entire state, not just their program.
When it comes to dealing with texsa and their she-gos, you (the entire SEC) are the new kids on the block. And you're doing it all wrong.

Almost every Texas fan and grad I know is excited about the upswing in competition across all sports and the boost in gameday atmosphere, while also fully understanding that Texas will likely not be a contender from day 1

If there are any such people, they are idiots. Texas has not won a Big Twelve Championship since 2009. And now they are just going to come in and start racking up SEC titles? Count me skeptical. No doubt, this new NIL/transfer portal/Wild West era should ultimately boost UT because of their ability to potentially money-whip people, but any predictions of grandeur should at least be muted until they actually accomplish something on the field.

I have several friends who are Sooners. Good folks, and pretty much identical to the people I know in the south. They do share some of the convoluted opinions and ideas but when faced with those one on one with an individual they will bend over backward to do what they can to assist and be friendly. Every last one of them were talking about being in the SEC 10 years ago. Of course they knew I was a UGA fan so that probably played a roll but I think most OU fans are looking forward to watching the sooners play in the SEC and have the SEC come to Norman. For certain they ain't bragging about taking over control of the conference because Alabama has held that control forever LOL. I also do not think most Texas fans geniuinely think they will control the SEC. They didnt control the SWC. They did not control the big 12. They did help dismantle both but that ain't happening in the SEC because there are too many similarly positioned programs for it to happen. I think that knowledge alone is something most sane Texas fans long for...simply being in a conference and competing instead of playing power politics all day every day.

No they're not, and stop editing my posts to make them appear to say something I didn't say, little drama queen. Nobody thinks you're clever with that monkey business. Now go make me a f*cking sandwich.

This is pretty much on the money.
Texans in general think they are better than everyone else simply because they are Texans.
Longhorns think they are even better than the rest of their fellow Texans simply because they are Longhorns.
