Not all denominations of Christianity view it in those terms. Satan plays a much, much bigger role in Evangelical Christianity than more traditional denominations.

Yeah, no interest in the debate, but mainline Christians often interpret Satan metaphorically. (I do).

But even if you don't, pay close attention to Satan's role in the Bible. It's rarely to mess with individuals and the ordinary stuff of their lives. It's much more often to do with persecution of people for being faithful. The classic examples would be 1 Peter 5:8-9, closing a letter that is largely about persecution, and Revelation 12-13, where it's all about persecution.

Ok, done with the theology thing.

Great job Gene!

Way to feed the frenzy yet again by letting the people closest to your program voice their opinions publically. Does CGC have ANY control at all?

This is true. If the devil were on you, you would know it. Most of the times it's his little demon helpers. You know, the 2/3's of the angels that was cast down to earth with him. It gives new meaning to Hell's Angels huh?

I don't know which is more lol-able: Jonna's statement or the fact that this thread turned into a theological discussion on Satan.

Either way,
