He is a rich white kid, how would the media handle his actions if he was a poor black kid?

My point is he is spoiled and doesn't like anyone talking bad about him. I think everyone agree he should either tone it down or learn to ignore the backlash. With his parents acting so worried about him it seems to me that even they think he's getting out of control. I'll take their opinion over anyone else's being his parents and all.

Interesting thread about Cam in 2010 on the Auburn board.

Two main differences I see are that Cam didnt drink but would go out on occasoin...and two, the AU students didnt mob him like the Aggies ones apparently do at CS.

I was at AU in 2004 and would see Caddilac and ROnnie out and about...nobody cared.

I honestly wonder why JFF is so damn popular down there.

Its an excuse and you are defending. So what enjoy college but when you are at level of fame he should also be aware of the attention he will draw whether it is warranted or not.

I have no love for ESPN but they do not control where he goes or his twitter. He could simply turn it off and avoid places where they make a big deal about. He chose not to and now has to live with it. Right or wrong for the criticism is not the point but not holding yourself to be accountable is for me.

No one has forced him to have a twitter, post on it, or keep it on. No one has forced him to post pics on instagram. No one has forced him to go to any party. He made those decisions and what is sad is when him and posters like you want to blame everyone else for his actions.

Keep defended but everything that has happened to JFF he controlled it and now must live with it.

yea i saw the vid.

he was walking out with a couple of friends and a cowardly bitch waited until he was far away with his back turned and tossed a beer.

if Johnny was truly being booted from the party their hired security (which I know for a fact that party has every year and its likely that massive black dude in yellow near the fence at the end was part of) would have been escorting him out.

+1. Don't place blame for your actions. Either own up to them and ignore the media backlash from it or quit doing it.

Sounded like most of the people people there were heckling him on the way out to me. Regardless, it was not a well thought out decision.

That would be like the Honey Badger coming to TTown to party last year or AJ hanging out in BR for a party.

there shouldnt be an issue with it.

all I saw in that video was a Texas frat guy make his frat look bad by acting like a cowardly a-hole.

and if you think a fight would start b/c Honey Badger simply went to a party at Bama, well, that says a lot about Bama students and none of it is good.

Am i the only one that finds it funny that articles keep talking about how a 20 year old is drinking all the time. And in the ESPN article he drinks with his father....isn't that contributing to the deliquency of a minor? Pretty sure it is. I know its petty but damn anyone else would be getting arrested

and you would be 100% wrong.

its completely legal in Texas for a parent to give alcohol to their kid.

In fact, the law is the same in Louisiana.

Johnny Boy is the one using the youth factor as a coverup for having his head up his azz. He is so talented and such an idiot. If I were his dad there would be hell to pay and my size 11.5's would be up his butt so far that he would have a new tongue made of shoe leather.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean its a good idea...
I stand by my statement that half his problems come from him crappy parents.

I totally agree. His parents seem like they want in on the act and all the attention and press that they can get. In my opinion, they are just strange. Why would you tell a reporter how you didn't get along with your father, but you're quite ready to live off his oil money. It's fine that he said that he wanted to be a good father to Johnny, but he didn't have to say why.
Also, in that article it seems like they have nothing good to say about A&M, and frankly if I were a fan of A&M, I wouldn't appreciate the things that they have said. They need to realize that while cute little Johnny is their prime concern, he isn't the only player that A&M has to take care of, and protect as they explained.
They were mad because they didn't feel that they got Johnny's Heisman in a timely manner, and that the University used it as a recruiting tool. Why would the school do that when they have one of their own, and without the school he never would have won that award. I'm sorry, but I want players to love their university, and not say anything to make it look bad in any way.
