It is a new week, May we talk about MSU vs GA?

I was apprehensive about LSU and am even more uncertain about GA.
I already understand no one thinks we can beat them. However, If we can, what must my MSU bulldogs do to beat GA at their house?
The past is now officially done and gone and I can be an LSU fan again. Take them Orangemen by the throat Tigers and don't let go. IT will feel nice.
We have all week to obsess over this new challenge.
GA/MSU score and why? How can we beat them?

We beat them 24-17. I'm not sold on Georgia at all

By making Fromm beat us. Basically same game plan as LSU.

I picked us over LSU 27-17. I was a little off. We beat Georgia 27-16. You better believe Grantham, Fitz and Abrams want this game.

A lot of people will think you beat GA.
I think it's going to turn out that LSU is overrated, but I do feel that MSU is a good team this year, but more on a 9-3 level than 11-1.
You're going to face a better front 7, arguably the #2 to Alabama when Alabama is healthy, but the secondary is still questionable (a lot of the same guys that allowed Drew Lock to throw for a ton of yardage). I suspect Georgia's gameplan will be to try to take Fitzgerald on the ground away and take away the short routes on defense.
It'll come down to if Fitzgerald can complete deep balls.

Actually a lot of people think you can beat UGA. SOme UGA fans think you can beat UGA (though that may have more to do with a pessimistic streak instilled in us from the Richt era).

Force Fromm to make freshman mistakes and capitalize on them. If you start from your own 25 or so every drive, it's going to be a long night against our defense. But get some good field position because of UGA mistakes and y'all have enough options on O to give us fits in a short a field

You just beat LSU by 30. I definitely think y'all have the ability to beat us.
Need to stop the run, make Fromm beat you through the air, and Fitz needs to exploit us in RPOs.

Moo St better be ready for this one. They aren't playing a cupcake like this past week.

Fitz is the only one that should have a chip on their shoulder. Grantham shouldn't have any axe to grind given that Richt was his former employer (not Kirby) and Grantham left for more money at Louisville. Abram, too, left of his own volition because he was homesick for Mississippi and din't like Pruitt (who is now at Bama).

I'm looking forward to watching both Bama at Vandy and State at Georgia. Should be two good games. If State dominates the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball against Georgia like they did against LSU then I'll definitely be a believer then. That UGA crowd will be fired up and Kirby is familiar with that style of offense. I wish y'all were the CBS game instead of us though. I don't like Danielson.

I want some of that. Give me 11 for a sig bet or you don't have one ball, much less two.

You beat us if our defense doesn't play disciplined with Fitz. We need to force him to make underneath throws and keep him in the pocket. Our LB group is the truth and they will be tested.
On offense I thought this week was interesting with us doing a bit more i formation. We didn't show that much at all vs ND. I think you'll see a bit more of it and we will throw off of play action from it for some success. I also look for the "wild dog" to return and maybe us to toss a pass or two out of that formation. Should be a one possession game.

I see Williams continuing to find enough of a seam in the O line to run through. He reminds me a lot of Ezekiel Elliot's running style. He must take on a big part in the game if we are to move the ball on the ground.
For GA to give him the attention his skill set demands opens the field to Nick, who would just as soon run as throw the ball. Mixon needs more passes thrown his way, too.
Hopefully our D continues what they seem to be doing so well thus far.
Honestly, I would settle for 700 field goal opportunities now that we have someone who can kick a FG. What would that be? 2100 points. I bet hat is an NCAA record for 4 Qtrs. play.

Intriguing match-up.
Really looking forward to this one!

LSU is a lot better team then team that played yesterday. With that said MSU's season is setting up to be special. Your defense is very good and the DL thug y'all got is a beast!
I see y'all beating UGA.

MSU has a better offense and a front 7 that is fast and physical enough to stop Chaney's pathetic offense. They'll win this and march into Auburn undefeated

Honestly, I wouldn't count on a standard rushing attack getting you anywhere. UGA played a very similar offense in Notre Dame which has put up some nice numbers rushing outside of the 50 yards they managed against UGA (their dual threat QB managed a net total of 4 yards rushing).
Where I see MSU having success that ND didn't is in the passing game. Because of Fitzgerald's rushing ability, we will likely have to play a soft zone of sorts and our DBs are solid but not great. I think Fitzgerald can throw with a lot more accuracy and precision than Wimbush could for Notre Dame and it could be trouble for our defense. Samford was able to do that on at least one drive and so long as Fitzgerald can duplicate the same poise and touch on his throws with our very good front seven bearing down on him, MSU should score points.

I think Dan set the team up for a "bowl game effort" last week. Honestly, this week will be the most important game we will have all week long. I hope they remember that. Hard to go back and win it after it is over.
