They should fire Ellis! How in the Hell do you get in the red zone 5 times and not score TD's.

He is a sorry O-Cord.

Still no answer. Pretty obvious question. Still melting?

I'll bite, OP.

Auburn was good this year, then we got beat by a mediocre (at best) A&M team at home on a heartbreaking "whoopsie" of a play by our center, and by the looks of things that really fricked with the team as the mental wheels began flying off for the remainder of the games.

I dunno, maybe we had too many 2012 players with a lot of quit still on the team, maybe the coaches suck in cajoling some fight out of them even though they were eliminated from the playoff, or whatever. Bama played and beat a good but psychologically damaged Auburn team this year. Read whatever you'd like in that.

sorry, that excuse has been patented by Bama.

You may want to talk to A&M about patent infringement, aggies beat themselves all the time.

And they got the jars to prove it.

I admit they dropped off mentally until the Bama game. They looked inspired to me. A yes or no will suffice.

Really? You asked a question in the OP that is about the 2014 team, but claim later you were really wanting to know what we thought about our 2015 team.

A yes or no wouldn't yield a complete or satisfying answer to the problem. It's a both/and answer, like most questions in life. Was Auburn talented and capable of beating Bama during the game? Yes. Was the team playing at a high, mentally-prepared level? No.

Nope, it is a simple yes or no answer.

(In my best attempt to be even-handed) Which excuse is more ridiculous: a. You only beat us when we were affected by probation. You can't beat a full strength Bama team. b. You only beat us when we suck. You can't beat a ranked auburn team. IMO, it's a tossup. Both are pretty stupid excuses.
BOTH are equally stupid and nothing more than fans excuses for a loss to a rival.

Ultimately this. I don't care if Bama beats Auburn by 49-0, or Auburn beats Bama 28-27. They don't put asterisks next to wins because of a losing team's post-rationalization. A win is a win is a win and you frankly shouldn't give a frick about what I think about it.
