Well when Jimbo says HE hasnt been contacted,,,he isnt fibbing, its his agent who was contacted...that way coaches can avoid the question.

Saban wasn't interested in Miami, he wasn't interested in Bama either.
Petrino is a stand up guy though I trust him.
Jimbo wasn't even "contacted" about the HC vacancy last year either, even when miles was reported to be fired and he was at the top of our ADs wish list

Honestly, if true, the bad part isn't that he turned them down. They actually lucked out there. The bad part would be that the administration showed the poor judgment of asking him in the first place. Petrino is toxic
