This should be AT&T's slogan...superdome, arena, tiger stadium...no signals with At&T in any of those...switching to Verizon it's so bad

I have a friend that lives there and even though they are calling it judgement day, I am sure things will be fine. except for may the rogue fan from either side not happy about the outcome, which usually comes from taunting. Just watch out for flags being thrown. Police will be in full force, probably digging some out of retirement for this one. Going to be a BIG game for both sqauds.

I think ya'lls estimates are low. I would expect around 200,000 for the game. What ever the # is, I'm sure there will be a few wrinkles but nothing to get worked up over. Besides if you are a true fan and a tailgater then this is the norm and part of the process.

Muthafricking this!

I wonder how many AT&T execs attend football events that can't even send a fricking text message! How embarrassing that must be with their peers or friends. I would love to swap out to Verizon but almost my entire family is with AT&T.

I did this and have full service on gamedays, but just about everyone I know has att so I still struggle to get in touch with people.

You will have coverage most of the time. I have a work BB with AT&T and a personal phone with Verizon. Verizon works, but AT&T will be useless in the 30 or so minutes after the game.

I think the UA gameday people supply power on the quad. If you're somewhere else, no one will care if you've got one of those quiet little Honda 2000 generators.

There is a bank of portables behind the library. There are also some of those big trailers if you like to take a dump in the air conditioning.

Plenty of parking if you show up early. Park in the UA gameday designated lots and take the free shuttles, or park in a private yard closer to the stadium.

Not quite sure what you're asking about food/drinks. Bring whatever you want. Also, the food court in the student center is open (freaking crowded on gameday, though) and there are vendors lining the east side of the quad.

Traffic will be miserable if you're trying to go north/east after the game. If you're headed for LA, park where you have easy access to 359.

There will be plenty of security. The police are well aware of what happens when tens of thousands of swamptards put on their finest Liberty overalls, scrape the moss off the windshield of the rusted out '59 Chevy Apache in the yard, load up the truck bed with liquor, and hit the road en masse.

Sucks if you have AT&T. Can't hardly use it on a normal gameday so this gameday will probably be worse.

Not to make matters worse, but I saw a friend during the Tenn game have issues with Verizon.

So, I am going with smoke signals, I should be ok unless it is too windy.

No chance. You probably shouldn't come.

Tuscaloosa will be ready. You will be pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything goes. This is not the first big game like this we have had in Tuscaloosa...

How many people are they predicting to be in town for the game?

I know Baton Rouge around 140-150k when Flordia came 2 years ago.

As far as cell phones go, I went to a couple of games last year in T-town. I hated seeing that big AT&T banner in the stadium, yet having no signal. My parents Verizon's were at least able to send a text. I heard somewhere that Alabama is bringing in these portable cell towers for the games this year. Something mounted on a long truck that they drive into place and set up. Has anyone seen that this year?

And I just switched back to Sprint, so I'm curious to see how their service is on campus. Anyone have experience with that this year?
