So many people are expecting the kid to come in and make big plays for the offense this year. I just don't know how this kid is going to come in and contribute that much when we have so many WR's slated inline to play. At 6'0 173 I just don't understand how a guy can come into the SEC and dominate.

I'm not expecting him to "dominate". I do however expect big things from him. His speed and vision are incredible.

I don't know much about him except that he is small, shifty and expected to contribute early. You tell me...

He may get some turns returning punts but IMO, he won't make a big impact until the latter part of the year. I do, however, think he was one of the better recruits we've signed in a while.

I think he did well at corner in the All Star game, I don't think he'll play there in college, but he kept up...

He was so sub-par compared to the other receivers at the Army game that they moved him to corner. So he definately will need grooming, outstanding athlete though.

Who knows if the Au fans are over-rating him for sure. I'd tend to think that he's over rated/hyped by the Au fans, just like 90% of the recruits when fans of their school hype them up. He was a 4* right? So it's not like this guy was the #1 recruit in the nation or in the top 25. It's all speculation at this point.

He's a good athlete, but needs at least a year to mature.

Actually, trovon volunteered to move to cb because there were about 3x as many wrs as cbs.

didn't he play QB in HS? you really don't want a true freshmen having to contribute heavily to your teams success. doesn't say much for your depth or talent. should be doing big things somewhere on the field in his 2nd or 3rd year though.

Trent Richardson tends to disagree.

I don't expect him to play anywhere other than maybe at PR, but by the end of the year if he doesn't RS we might seem him get snaps in the slot.

Darvin and TZac are great, but we don't have an established 3rd option. Hopefully Q Carr or Benton will step up but if not then I'm sure Trovon will have a chance.

Sorry, it originally read "Am I the only one who thinks Trovon Reed is over-rated?" but I decide to change it to make the thread more open ended.
