Also the fact that it's the RRR (aka the Big 12's biggest game every year) that ESPN is passing on shows what dire straights the Big 12 is in. In 2013 after we left a game like Ole Miss vs Texas was enough to satisfy Fox's desires and so that got traded. This year they are asking ESPN to give up the crown jewel to keep the LHN afloat. This proved us Aggies right in two ways:

1. That the current Big 12 would eventually become marginalized nationally, which is what this year's RRR will be.

2. That as the Big 12 started to collapse there would be no limits to how far ESPN and Texas would stoop to keep the LHN afloat.

So happy we are done with all that shite.

I think if our team this year plays at their best against bama, we have a decent shot. Still too early to tell. Lots of questions will be answered in Jerry World.

Lol. It's only September

you're right, A&M is still due for their midseason collapse. It probably doesn't have playoff implications.

It's definitely a bigger game this year. I love this being a top 20 matchup and both teams being undefeated. I love beating Arkansas but things are more interesting to me when you're good so I root for you to do well, if that makes sense. I want to see this get the rep as a really important game in the west every year

I thought it already was. They always get the 11am game nobody wants to watch and now it is moved to Fox sports 1 whatever that is.

Hogs and Ags can only aspire to be as relevant as Texas and Oklahoma.

So no

We'll never know until/unless they take place on the same weekend.

The Red River Retread doesn't take place until October 8th.

And the RRR will never move because it's tied to the fair.

Thus the new name of that conference is

The Big Dumpster Fire
