Too many people sleeping on the Gamecocks this year. We will end up being better than last year once our big men get more experience. The only thing that kept us out the tournament was a shitty OOC schedule. We fixed that this year. We got a huge game against a ranked Michigan team at home tomorrow. That will be our first real test.

Because we've only ever been good during the one and done period.

...this thread pops up every year. And every year, there are overoptimistic 'We're going to change that this year' chip ins.
In truth, the SEC is deeper than it has been; the 09-11 years were really pretty bare, league wide. It wasn't that there wasn't a great team those years-- Kentucky was excellent throughout-- and Florida capped '11 with an Elite 8 run-- but really, the league lacked 'Good' teams beyond Kentucky. Florida rose up, but everyone else drifted back to the middle of the pack.
Now, the league is facing some opportunities. Its begun to improve its situation in non conference play the past couple of years, where before almost every non-Kentucky/Florida team was plagued with ugly losses-- but the difficulty level hasn't always been where it needs to be when selection sunday comes around. Now, we're seeing the league engage a slightly better caliber of opponent early, and it will hopefully pay off later in the year.
That said, the game doesn't look smooth because of the rules changes of prior years. A lot of people who don't like the style changes the rules aim to create, will call it bad basketball when it is really just *different* basketball.

Just sit back and let big brother Auburn handle it this year.
In SEC basketball, there is only one program Arkansas looks up to in historical rankings and it sure as shite isn't Auburn.
So, you can take that daddy shite some place else.

You're just mad because despite everybody telling you different, Bama fans thought y'all actually had a shot at the big dance this year. I know y'all are new to this, but you gotta wait for the 5*s to actually get on campus first
Context clues are tough for some

Tennessee had a good opportunity to rep the league earlier and couldn't close out Oregon.
Need some good games from UGA and Arkansas later today.

Gamecocks get a good win over #25 B1G Michigan today ... headed to Syracuse this weekend for a game in NY. A chance to rep the SEC again.
