I really like Carl Lawson as a player and he has great potential but at this point Derek Barnett hasso outperformed Lawson in their careers to a point to where I don't see how people can continually rate Lawson over Barnett.

Yep - Saban actually talked about that at Media Days. Some of our guys were specialists last year but will be moving into more full-time roles this year. Williams is probably the biggest of that group.

As good as Nick Saban has been and with Bama being the bell cow in defense in the SEC last year was the first year we had a dominant pass rusher. Now we have two for this year.

Wise is top 3-5 at any position on the defensive side of the ball in the SEC.

sample size. in the limited time weve seen lawson hes been incredible. durability should probably be taken into consideration though.
