Texas, UNC, Kansas, and UL have future NBA players.

Derrick Anderson said this team is way better on D. The 96 team had shooters.

I am not saying this is the best team ever, but if the finish out like the way I think they will...the. They are in the discussion.

That was facetious of me Kentucker. The point is, it's way too early to proclaim a team that wins by 10 against an Ivy League school as the most talented of all time. Win 38-40 games and the NT and we can discuss that. We've seen too many GOAT teams in all sports get knocked out in post-season.

No they are not. That title would belong to the 89-90 UNLV Rebels.

shite we have an NBa player (portis) that doesn't mean shite.

UK is not just a good defensive team. UK has a front line that would make a good NBA defensive front line, right now.

To beat a team like that you don't need an nba player. You need a player that is an elite offensive player the second he steps on the floor like Davis/ Anthony / Durant / Parker is.

I hate to say it, but I'm not certain we do lose this year. There's not a damn thing wrong with slipping up once or twice in conference, but this team could play at 80% and still win on any night in this conference.

Most talented team ever does not have 10 turnovers first half and score just 22. Just sayin....

01 miami might be the most talented cfb team and they needed a fluky defensive touchdown to beat a 4 loss VT team that finished ranked abotu 20th.

One frickin half of basketball out of a ~35 game season doesn't mean they aren't the most talented.

1999 Duke. Best team to not win the title. Those guys were unreal. Let's evaluate this Kentucky team in early April. They are ridiculously talented, and great on defense, but 1999 Duke is the best I have ever seen. They just played one bad game at the worst possible time.

didn't the 96 uk team have 10 players drafted ?
I think that the Indiana team had all 6 drafted that year!..Wilkerson was the 6th man and HE was drafted. They beat the Russian national team that year...pretty salty!

To me, most talented teammeans....team..as in roster. If this is the case, then these kids are are right there.

I think the 96 team had 7 players drafted between that year and the next, maybe 8.

This. For all the pundits talk about the depth of this UK squad, the 1995-1996 UK team had Tony Delk, Allen Edwards, Wayne Turner, Nazr Mohammed, Jeff Sheppard, Derek Anderson, Antoine Walker, Walter McCarty and Mark Pope.

Not to mention, the game was much better back then. This UK team destroyed a Wake Forest team that had both Tim Duncan and Randolph Childress and beat a one-loss UMASS team led by Marcus Camby in the Final Four.

The 95-96 UK team would dominate their current squad imo.

another really underrated team was 05 UNC. they had the best big man in the country(may) and the best 2 guard(mccants), plus a great point guard, and their 6 man was the 3rd overall pick in the draft.
