IMO, he's just never seemed comfortable at UF. He seems like a decent enough guy, but not the most charismatic. Sometimes he seems a little awkward or guarded.

I think he'd be more popular at a program in the west or Midwest,

After a win, he's a complete douche bag in interviews. I can't stand the way he talks.

Some of that. He is a hump on his back away from a Quasimodo impression. He also comes across as arrogant and sensitive. Which is a pretty poor (although common) combination.

There is a war going on between humanity and sharks and there can only be one winner. McElwain made his choice. From now on we are enemies.

Bert is a really likable guy.

McElwain seems like the type of guy who would pinch your daughter's arse. I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I'd keep her away from Jim.

I'd hang out with Gus, Kirby, and Saban.

Kirby is a frat boy copycat. Which suits UGA well because that's who they are... they've never had one thing unique to that University...ever. Bulldog from Yale, logo from Green Bay, fight song from The Battle Hymn of the Republic, "Dawg Walk" from Auburn "GO ______(insert team name here)" cheer from everyfrickinbody else on the planet.

McElwain seems to genuinely hate his job. I think he would love nothing more than to get fired with a big buyout and go coach at a low profile school in the Rockies where he is from. That or straight up retire.

I don't remember much about the Zooker except that Gator fans hated him.

Ron Zook = A more intelligible Ed Orgeron.

I could totally see Ogre doing something like this

quote:

Florida newspapers reported Wednesday that Zook was mentioned in a police report on a verbal altercation last month between football players and members of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. The papers said 10-15 players -- and their coach -- were at the house on the night of Sept. 16. They were there less than 24 hours after three Gators were involved in a 2 a.m. fight at the house, and less than 48 hours before the team would play its biggest game of the year, at Tennessee.
quote:

According to the Orlando Sentinel, which obtained the police report, Bullins told police that Zook said to the frat members, "I'm not going to let you take the [expletive] football team down. ... I will do anything in my power to take this house down."
The only difference is that no one would be able to understand O enough to quote him. And he would have stripped to the waist first.

Weirdo? Gus seems very cerebral, borderline nerd.

No way, the dude is squirrely as hell. The way his eyes are darting around...it's weird.

Supposedly, Zook pulled his shirt apart ala 80s Hulk Hogan. Then he lost to Miss St and got fired later that week.
