Why the double standard?

Well lets see, with Cam what did he do wrong again?

With JF, do we have any evidence yet of money changing hands?

With BMFP, did we have evidence of something that happened?

What unethical thing did Cam get away with?

He bought stolen property at UF and was punished for it.

1) coaches should be held to a higher standard than players. They are the ones who are influencing these kids the most.

2) schools do not want a piece of shite like letting representing their program. And if they did, they still go against their wishes to save face.

I could see Arkansas getting crucified for keeping Petrino while other programs like TAMU, LSU and BAMA. It would have been swept under the rug or never made an issue to begin with.

Especially since what Petrino did VIOLATED STATE LAW.

Is there a double standard in the SEC where athletes and bigger established programs get away with unethical things while Petrino was fired for something that passes as normal in society?

so it's normal for a married man (employee of the state) to have an affair with an employee that reports to him. if caught, just blow it off? esp since the employee didnt go thru the required hiring practice. you sure see the word normal different than me.

the difference being this was for a multi million dollar a year job not 45 grand a year. I mean if this was the business world he could have hired his mistress and I promise you she is not complaining for having to do the nasty in order to get paid. In that situation nothing happens in this situation something did which is why it is unethical. I looked at this as a way to address ethics. Which looking at these posts just goes to prove there is nothing ethical in Business or Collegiate sports these days.

Maybe this should give you some kind of idea as to what might happen if/when players start getting paid.

Completely different situations.

And lol at all the A&M fans taking shots at a program they can't compete with unless the superior program is coached by John L, they have a once in a lifetime player, or both.

When did the NCAA investigate BP?

If we were not so honest and the 40-50 grand a year making trooper had been paid off then they might have investigated BP like they did Cam and probably will do with Johnnie futbol. The interesting thing will be if the new compliance VP for the NCAA does things the same way as in the past.

The bottom line is TAMU, BAMA, LSU and Auburn are all better at covering these things up and getting the NCAA to never get concrete evidence.
