Texas is the flagship program in the state of Texas no matter what, and they have been for decades. That hasn't changed, and that isn't going to change.

Wouldn't expect someone whose school is part of the same university system as its chief rival to understand (the University of Oklahoma system has both OU and Oklahoma State).
A&M (16 schools) and Texas (22 schools) are two separate university systems.
Before you use the Randolph Duke "the Texas Constitution says they're branches of the same system" argument that's been refuted again and again and again, they're not.

If they find a competent QB, you won't be laughing for long. I think they started something absurd like 13 true frosh last season, and even though they went 5-7 getting thrown into the fire, their nucleus of young players is the fastest, most athletic, physical group I've seen at Texas in years. All you have to do is watch some tape. It's there.
