Is the SEC Office Really Full of Bama Grads/Fans? Charles Bloom graduated from South Carolina. Debbie Corum graduated from Vandy. Leslie Claybrook graduated from Alabama and played on the basketball team. Gil Grimes has degrees from Birmingham Southern, St. Thomas, and a law degree from Alabama. Charlie Hussey graduated from Ole Miss and UAB. Craig Mattox went to Auburn. Torrie Johnson went to Baylor. These are just a few of the ones I could find as I went down the list.
Thanks for the facts. This should be posted every time this comes up. As for the scheduling guy, I really doubt he could favor Alabama in some kind of vacuum.
Time to put this to rest. Appreciate the help.

You think he can just pull out whatever schedule he wants?
I agree that Alabama has had 3 difficult regular season games the past 2 years and they are 1-2 in them. But, I don't think that Alabama bias in the SEC office is the problem. I think that Tennessee being terrible for so long is the problem.

Nobody believes it except for some LSU fans dumbass. So if you really want to "put the rumor to rest", go post it on the tiger rant and change your title to "the SEC office is not full of Alabama grads / fans".

Tennessee will NEVER return to their former glory. College Football has changed dramatically and the fundamentals no longer favor them.

Have you even acknowledged the posts earlier that disproves the theory that the SEC office is all Bama grads or fans?

As already displayed in this thread, there are myriad colleges represented by SEC office folks.
Another thing to consider is if it is really possible for a money-making machine like the SEC to stay on top as long as it has while focusing on one university. Too many people involved for there to be a concerted effort.

I can't help but notice the lack of LSU grads.

frick that. A small but powerful cabal of UA grads controlling the day to day operations of the conference and rigging things for the dominance of UA football at the risk of destroying their careers is far more plausible.

I wish LSU fans would start these threads.

As a Bama fan, I'm wondering if this conspiracy dates all the way back to the SEC's founding in 1932... if so, the Illuminati and its secrecy have nothing on our 80 years of secret conference domination

Everyone is ignoring clerical staff and secretaries in the SEC office. Every last one is an Alabama fan, and if you think that doesn't make a difference, hoss, well, you are right.

No it started under Bear when Bama would magically get an extra SEC game against Vandy so there was no chance they would have to share the SEC Title.

Well, to be honest, there's one helluva lot more people who work in the SEC offices than the Commissioner and other executives.
And we all know that the most powerful people in government aren't Presidents, Senators, Reps, or department Secretaries, but the host of anonymous bureaucrats under them who implement and enforce everything.
Carry on.

Pretty sure Steve Shaw, Head of Officiating, is a Univ. of Ala. guy. Also, the guy whose responsible for the schedule last yr and the upcoming year is an Ala. guy.

What does that mean? What's a Univ. of Ala. guy?

He was interviewed about the schedules. I won't provide a link but he stated he worked in conjunction with the SEC ADs and also an outside company that supplied computer generated schedules. Think the computers were fans of Alabama though.
