All Tennessee needs is a coach who can recruit nationwide. Tennessee high school football is good but not great
Talent in Tennessee is exploding and lucky for Butch, it is in the Mid state and not across the state in Memphis. The talent in Tennessee is just going to get better.
And Butch has been able to recruit nationally.
The outlook for the program moving forward is very promising

Yes, and you'll be on probation again. Y'all can't help yourselves. It's this little thing called the bama clock

TN plays Vandy, KY, Mizzou, a constantly underachieving Georgia, and a mediocre Florida in the east. You want sympathy? Look in the dictionary between S**t and syphilis.

These games were being played when Arky and Ags were taking turns sucking off Texas in the SWC.

When Bama program was down and Vols were enjoying win streak they weren't whining about having to play Bama. Bama wasn't whining about playing Vols then either. I wouldn't mind getting rid of permanent cross division games or adding third one. Would be good to not go so long between playing other teams. Ditch one of the cupcakes and play 9 conference games. Ditch permanent cross division games too. Move AU to East and Mizzou to West too. I have no problem with any of that.

The bigger issue is the winner of the east having, even if theoretical, an equal shot at the SEC championship each year.
They need to do what the east whined and cried about in basketball and eliminate the divisions, two best records play for the championship, 4 permanent and 4 rotating SEC opponents on the schedule each year.
But then when its the current SEC west in normal order with Flordia/UGA/Tennessee fighting Ms. State for 7th place each year, I'm sure they will again be crying about how unfair it is.

UT fans don't whine like the LSU fans about cross division rivals.

Dude, this shite is cyclical. Many years in the 90s the two best teams were out of East.
Even with the current SEC title run by the west, the East has still only won like one less.

UT was more than happy with the arrangement during the Shula years. Karma is a bitch

May be true, but we're not gonna bitch about our schedule being tough. It is what it is.
Even if the cross division games were not mandatory, I believe TSIO would still be played. #Rivalry
Does any other team bitch about the scheduling guidelines as much as LSU?
I would love to see their meltdowns if they had to play almost every opponent after their Bye like UA did for a few years a cpl years back.
Conspiracy!! REC!! SEC HQ in Birmingham!! Replay done in Birmingham!! Refs for Bama!! We want Vandy instead of UF every year!
Thank God most of them are too young to remember when the SECCG was played at Legion Field.
Oh and another good one is how LSU always wants UA in the East while someone like Mizzou or Vandy or UK comes to the West.

It could be as a non-conference game.
Would it make much difference to Bama if they played Tennessee instead of SC, Duke, etc?

LSU and UT should just play with each other every year, they could get away from "unfair" cross div opponents and have the bromance they always wanted.
5 of 6 vs Drizzle U.

If it was an either/or, I believe most UA fans would want to keep UT on the schedule.
Although losing the ability to play a good OOC team at a neutral site to start the season or later in the year like with FSU in Jacksonville several years ago would suck, if that's what would happen.
But if it was trading out a Western KY, or Kent St, or Chattanooga*, then as I said, I believe Bama fans would be in favor, even if it did make the schedule tougher.
*As long as it's not scheduled as the next to the last game of the year when everyone plays a cupcake for Sr Day before the Iron Bowl (Egg Bowl, Super Bowl, etc).

UT had 10 straight losses to UF. They never won the East in that time.
We did in 07 actually, but I get the point.

Actually UT lost to UF 11 straight times.

When the SEC expanded Tenn and Alabama stopped playing yearly. Arkansas was a permanent west opponent. Tennessee bxitched, moaned and groaned. So, when they tinkered with the schedule the first time, Arkansas was removed as a permanent opponent.
Tenn asked for this, they can stay bent over.
